Some people would say that’s a very good sign that we must be doing something right. Not only developing players but also coaches.
Bellamy tried to destroy our record run by luring a few of our players with the promise of lower wages and more discipline, but Madge was one step ahead cranking up the discipline even higher. Ok, nail polish is still a thing, but that’s the hallmark of good leadership, negotiating outcomes.

Brisbane won the GF because the referees favoured them 3 games in a row. Hudson Young whispered sweet nothings in Walsh's ear, cops a headbutt for his troubles, the penalty goes to Brisbane and Hudson young gets 10 minutes as well. Walsh should of been sent-off. Hosking barely touched Walsh and gets penalised, thus tying the game, yet Cleary gets creamed in mid air whilst kicking, penalty all year, no action. Referee awards Canberra the winning try yet bunker over rules without clear evidence it wasn't a try.
Starling is penalised 3rd tackle of the game for not getting to his feet when he clearly did so, a couple of 6 agains and Klein gives Brisbane a 6-0 lead. Two incorrect play the balls in the next 5 minutes by Brisbane, one facing the sideline almost, the other not raking the ball back, no action.
How on earth did Walsh stay on the field when he shoulder charged Coates with force directly to the head, that has been 10 minutes in the bin all year and possibly a send-off, then he takes Papenhuizen's legs out, putting him in a very dangerous position, not even a penalty.
Put in Klein's disgraceful refereing in the 2nd SOO, Mam getting a paltry penalty for a serious offence, seems like the powers to be wanted it to be a Queensland year of winning everything.
