Breaking news: HBG takeover

I have just joined because I believe that this is I have been a tiger supporter all my life I'm now 70
I was a Balmain support but now I'm not a Balmain nor a western suburbs magpie supporter I'm a wests tigers supporter
I would hope that the NRL get involved and sack th HBG for bringing the NRL into disrepute
The HBG are making the NRL look like a 2nd class organisation
I've been a loyal supporter all my life but if this is what is happening the Swans may be my new winter sport to follow and I can't stand AFL

But he hasn't explained anything? He made statements about not being informed... But boards do not work this way.. feel free to educate me where I am wrong... How can they have board meetings and the HBG not know about it when they have 2 members on the board? Why can no one explain this to me?

Also worth noting the class of HBG, the sacked board members found out via media, not via the HBG themselves
I see it one of two ways. The first is the HBG reason is true which I don't believe, but hypothetically they were in the dark while having boardmembers on the Wests Tigers board. The second is they lied and it was purely political and driven by personal agendas by HBG board members. If it's the first then it shows a total lack of professionalism within the HBG boardroom and imo shows they are unfit to either run or help run an N.R.L club. The second which I think is more likely shows that they are willing to destabilise an N.R.L franchise for their own political or personal agendas, which shows they are unfit to run or help run an N.R.L franchise. Either one is an endightment of the HBG and proves they have to go.

Speaking from the Magpies point of view I totally support the anger being shown towards the HBG cronies and their decision to sack the independent board members

What I did find harsh were Forum members saying they wouldn't use a Victa Jersey to wipe their ass with

If the shoe was on the other foot and someone said they wouldn't wipe their ass with a Philips Balmain Jersey chaos would ensue
I can understand that. But I think someone has already used Dennis's hair for that.

So. I have, until this turn of events, been one of the 'dinosaurs' who has long-dreamed of an 'unmerge' and the return of Balmain as a standalone entity. First game at Leichhardt in '83 blah blah blah. What has happened over the last couple of days, as well as making me furious, has made me finally realise that bringing Balmain back isn't going to happen and shouldn't happen. They were 'my club', but they aren't 'the club' (and nor of course are the Magpies) of the vast majority of people who support the Wests Tigers. For them, the Wests Tigers are their club. Which is great. It's been 25 years (minus one) of hurt for everyone involved in the JV. It's time we all move on, both from the old tribes and certainly from this ridiculous governance model that isn't fit to run an under 8s team. Given how angry this has made me, I finally realise the Wests Tigers are now 'my club'. I'm all in - I live in the UK and get up at half 4 to watch every game so this has always been obvious in hindsight. But the point being, if I can move on I figure anyone can. And if you can't leave the past behind - I get that. It's cool. But it doesn't help anyone really. Let's finally put all this old stuff to bed. If you want to watch Balmain or the Magpies, there is plenty of stuff on Youtube to keep you going. But if you want to be on the train, let's just move forward, sort this out, and become the powerhouse we really ought to be.

It makes you think what they thought the reaction was going to be ?
Not sure they think that far ahead tbh..
If PVL gets involved as is inevitable for the benefit of the game,it will be a game changer...if he doesnt...the clowns will get to run the circus
PVL is way too smart to allow that to happen
