I would imagine the NRL could argue that the governance of the HBG is causing irreparable damage to the NRL as a whole, thats just a guess i have no idea if that would hold any weight was just spit balling.
 
The only thing the NRL needs to know is

Is HBG making decisions in the best interests of WT. If not they are failing in their boards statutory obligations

Were the WT independent board members dismissed on a fabricated excuse. (The independents have already indicated possible legal action)

Both of the above matters may also be subject to corporate (not NRL) investigation

if the anonymous accusation against Richo is true or false.

Based on these answers they can make an informed decision about HBG’s actions/intent and whether there needs to be at arms length independent board/administration, under the HBG/NRL guidance.

Do you think that there is any chance that Richo comes back? Are you hearing anything about Benji?

There have been considerable improvements outside the playing group in relation to things like memberships and crowds, sponsorships and other financials leading to the first profits for the club in several years …that is worth a lot in my book

We also had the 2 stadium deals of course .

The reasons provided to date by HBG to excuse their actions seem dusty …these are 4 previously unaffiliated people with experience as Directors … I would be surprised if all 4 are unaware of their obligations ….

A couple have completely denied publicly the initial allegations which I believe HBG has since removed from their site ..which doesn’t bode well for their side of the argument …these are things that are not hearsay but can actually be documented one way of the other …who attended board meetings and how did they vote…

Out of interest .,,What will you do if the Independents are in the right ?

About as much as I do if they are wrong.

People seem to think I've sided with HBG.

I want a club that runs harmoniously.

Well…. I think Richo along with the 4 board members that were sacked were bringing success to the club.

It’s clear that success isn’t the judgment of if someone’s doing the job well enough or not…. it’s purely being based on if they follow the HBG blueprint or if they aren’t.

The same blueprint that has haunted our club for the last 15 years and will haunt our club for the next 15 years if we let it happen.

Every reaction so far has been to be mildly abusive (amusing at times).

What is interesting is that people would rather resort to insults than ponder the possibility that there might be a different option or opinion. I've not said anyone is wrong.

I could very well be.

But maybe HBG isn't inserting their own people? Maybe Richo did do something dodgy?

What I know is that....I don't know for sure. I could guess that close to 100% of you on here don't know for sure either.

- Either way, You are ignoring their previous track record and some alarming developments
over the last couple years...

Remember when all the HBG Aligned Wests Tigers board Stood Down voluntarily after the review?
Remember the one that was re-appointed shortly after?
(Probably before the new Chair and replacement members)

The board itself has been sued by its (Probably) longest standing member - And he beat them.
There's also something in that.

This Board has been through how many CEO's and board members in the last few years, as well as the ones they've extinguished from the Wests Tigers - It's not coincidence, or 'all for nothing'

Ignoring the facts as they present themselves doesn't make them less worth considering.

I find it odd you run the line of 'maybe Richo DID do something wrong' so readily,
When his Decades old history would suggest he's a bit above that.

But this rabble at Wests Ashfield have bounced from one front page to the next with controversy for the last 2 years, Run the Football club into the dust over the last decade and you're running with 'Maybe they're on the money?'

Please... You're doing yourself a disservice.

That is true - but the club is majority owned by Wests Ashfield and I can't see that changing unless there was a forced sale - which I doubt. I can't see the debenture holders giving up their privelege without being forced to.

I think the NRL and NSW L&G could potentially, between them, force some sort of governance change. L&G on incompetence and the NRL stipulating the need independent advice on the management of the WEsts Tigers. Messy either way - but unless Wests Ashfield force the in house our only opteion is external pressure.

By placing an N.R.L appointed administrator. In time hopefully to fully reinstate the dismissed board and with Richo returning as ceo under the N.R.L banner till privatisation to a competent owner. It's the only way now. In a matter of 7 days HBG have burnt the place to the ground.

This is a personal opinion.

However, I believe if the NRL revoke the licence for the HBG and look privately for new shareholders.

The first person that’ll get the call would be Richo to finish the job he set out to do.

Regarding Benji…. he’ll die before he walks out on this club. Makes you really appreciate him for who he is and what he as done for this football team.
