Increased the amount of members on board. My understanding (and please anyone correct me if Im wrong ) three independents 5:HBG and one Balmain - in other words exercising control. And we know what they do if any directors don't vote with the numbers.
 
Really seems like the NRL meet with HBG and advised damage control.
Really surprised that the guy from horse racing seems as shifty as the debenture group. Kinda like the gambling industry attracts the same type

There won't be problems. HBG have stacked the board. There'snothing to argue about when you control the board.

I understood your point and I agree. More problems, PVL will intervene. It's a different and adjacent point to the one I was making.

The problem is no one thinks they are competent enough to make good decisions and from a majority independent board, we have moved to a majority HBG board. The same people that created this mess.

Try to look at the positive side.

More HBG members is certainly no good however, when making important decisions, at least there will be voices of reason within the room, I'm sure BOF and the other independants would command some respect.

And if the next board member is a 'modern' woman, maybe she won't put up the the 1970's style of man thats within the HBG group and think sensibly, no pats on the backside for her.

A competent owner wanting control is not unreasonable, but HBG has shown that isn’t them over an extended period. PVL said they could have gone further. He should have.

Every insult, every trope about HBG being idiots...the NRL just disagreed. Why?
