OFFICIAL Terrell May #296

Sione Fainu does it also, receives the ball and does 2 or 3 side steps easier for the defender's to tackle him no speed, like Wayne Bennett says to his forwards run straight and hard he will hurt defender's
Don’t agree I reckon that’s what gives us the edge. Second faze play wins u more games. I really like Sione’s work of the bench, he is one of the best players on the bench, really makes a difference. So improved!

So come 2028 Tyrell will he 29 and Taylan only 26..,

What’s the offer to both ? It’s a little hard to speculate now given we don’t know how much the cap is going up …

I know some will be hating on it .. but bring in Tyrone for backup money for a couple of years if it commits the other two
29 for a front rower is prime years . 28-32 for most . So a 3 year deal should be good .

7 figures is crazy money IMO

Although if we lose him it would be crazier lol
I think what makes it fine is Sione and Twal are locked in for IMO unders to their market value . So you’d argue that between the 3 of them and even big Royce that it’s probably 600k , even with T May on big dollars . Let’s face it , the only reason he isn’t in a blue jersey is bullshit nswrl politics . He’s clearly too 4 props in nsw .
So if you’re giving your engine room the middles 6x 600k so 3.6m , I think that’s pretty good cap management there . Bearing in mind player 7-9 are probably averaging under 200k say 180k . It’s only a 300k pay bump for T may . He’s already on 700-800k right now .

Yeah ..3 is good …4 less so
I’m glad it’s not 4 . I mean that’s age 32/33 season so it should be ok in modern footy , but remember Tamou ? One year he was nsw prop the next he was Magpies standard . The fall was that sharp . But someone like T May who’s games more about agility should have more staying power . Plodder types like Tamou and woods just all of a sudden were completely ineffective and there was probably some bricklayer plying for Ryde Eastwood or even Concord Burwood who was closer to nrl standard .

He has gotta good engine May …as we all know …

He might last longer ..but you are right ,..it’s nice not to be committed on that sort of money for longer than need be

Just listened to Reads comments … he is clearly spitballing on the value of May’s deal …

Interesting he said the discussions have been going “ a while” too…

If he signs in a “couple of days “ that would seem to be the case I would suggest… it wouldn’t be finalised this quick if they only started yesterday

Yep club put itself in that position
Less than 6 months on and the cracks are already showing, a few hundred grand from the salary cap now gone because of ineffective mansgement.

Fast forward 2 years and those cracks will only be bigger.

But hey, the mob will call us doomsday conspiracy theorists with an agenda, because we are pointing out the glaringly obvious.

Exactly . You’re pointing out the obvious . To what end ? No one wants HBG to own the club . So what’s your point ? There’s absolutely nothing anyone can do over the ineptitude of our ownership group , all we can do is discuss the decent job our interim ceo seems to be doing hoping that he can snap everyone up. But it’s going to be harder because everyone knows there’s now an extra 1.5mil available that wasn’t there on Monday .

Whats the figures?
A seven figure sum per season....or over three years?
(Im at hospital cannot listen to the vid)

Yes …that’s what he is saying..he is talking it up that the deal is just about done and should be finalised in a couple of days… seven figures per season over three years

Mate ..he wants to vent …even though we all agree with his point ..and no one is saying otherwise

In the meantime …someone at the club needs to get on with signing players

There’s no excuse for the club stalling negotiations this long. The HBG saga was in December 2025 and we’re now about to enter May 2026.

And it’s only now we’re ramping up negotiations after Luai signed with PNG?? I get the first month or two would’ve been tough after the Magtard board crapped the bed again, but we’re fast approaching nearly half a year since.
There's too much unknown information to judge. Very possible Luia signalled the posibility he might be on the move which changes the cap framework. Possiy that wasn't communicated to May as well as it could have.
