Here we go, the armchair social media coaches, deriding certain players, selecting their teams and plucking names they've heard or seen a play or two in a highlight reel, and using phrases such as "they can't be any worse". Then a kid like Javon has a shocker, and the cycle repeats itself - Mason, Tavana, Makasini, Da Silva, Luke Laulilii, etc. This club just repeats the same mistakes over and over again.
There's a kid called Latu Fainu. Maybe develop and play him in the position he came to the club as? But half the supporters are just as bad with "he has to be in the team somewhere." No wonder the kid is lost. Nah, just throw in yet another under developed kid in Andrews to the wolves - "he can't be worse!"
Then there is fullback. Attard has been rolled under the goal posts just about every reserve grade game this season by an opposition cup forward. NRL ready according to half of you. And Brookes probably had his worst game for the club on the weekend, albeit on the wing. Two kids still only 19, and need more development in the lower grades before they see a millisecond of NRL.
You lot have caught Benji's illness of just throwing a kid in and thinking they'll do a job. Did Benji even make the comment in Ethan Robert's NRL debut presentation that he hasn't seen him play? Is he just relying on lower grades staff about what the young players are doing in lower grades?
This roster is full of under developed players because they're young and being thrown an NRL debut before they're ready, or playing/training inconsistently in different positions. The club has [This word has been automatically removed]ed up a few kids already. How about they take a deep breath and help these kids with the right decision for them, instead of making them NRL players and thinking they've done the work. This club gives it to them to easily, and fans are supporting the approach.
