We can't get out of our half when under pressure. Last 3 games. A Burton or Fogarty type would relieve a lot of pressure when we can't ruck it out. It's a simple game. All the top teams have decent kickers , we never have that I can recall.

His kicking is the best of any half we've had in a decade. His defence is not great, but is as good as Luai, Doeuihi, Brooks and co. He's made more breaks than Luai.
Your biased irrational anger is severely misplaced.

I don't know what decade you are talking about, but the best half kicker? You must have forgotten about Moses and Brooks. Keep it real. Madden is average at best in all facets of the game.

Very true Tucker but imo if we lose to the Dogs in a fortnight i just cant see the guys getting up enough to make the 8.

Maybe you should try watching our games with your eyes open. Madden has been kicking better than anyone at our club in the past decade. Yes, much better than Brooks.
Also note how he's been playing with one of the worst backlines ever in the past few weeks.

It's VERY hard to be a dominant half when your teammates can barely make 20-25 metres a set and you're living from your own 30m line.

Are you for real? A dominant heir ? You must be related to him, otherwise there is no explanation for your comments.
 
What I'm saying is that Pat Richards has been around the team quite a bit since he has retired from playing and has either not attempted to impart any of his knowledge or kicking skills to any of our kickers or has failed in attempting to do so.

Not related, just a realist. Madden has had more kicks find the grass in a handful of matches this season than our primary halves have had across an entire season, going back a long way.

Which considering he's often kicking from well inside his own half due to our incompetent backs is quite remarkable .

I'm also not saying he's an excellent defender by any means. But Luai missed a truck load of tackles on the weekend, and every week too. We all know the pasta if Brooks, Doeuihi etc. He's no worse than they're defence ever was.

And given he was only intended as a backup, and we're only paying him 50k this season he is by far the best value player on our roster.

And in the Manly game there were no chasers. Never a contested bomb. A couple of tackles and
back in our half again-----disorganised in defence---easy pickins!

Jesus .. we were dominating field position because we were hitting hard and our line speed was excellent, this was all led by API, as soon as he went off it all droppped off instantly.. this is blatantly obvious, AD was a big part of this team effort in defence and as a half he was playing very well for us but our game plan was all about dominating field position and without api we seen incapable of maintaining this ,, I truly hope Jared Hayward is able to improve his defence and tackle technique and skills and develops into a hooker that can inspire our line speed as well, I’m sure that mentally he would be well aware of what API is doing but api is origin standard and it’s a step up for Jared that I think he is capable of making.. if he can then he is in for a huge future because his class and skill around the ruck wit the ball is absolutely 💯 first rate

Hey D
I’ve been playing golf for over 45 years and got lessons with a couple of mates with the same pro-Golfer but even though we got taught the same 2 of us can’t hit the ball as far as our mate.
What I’m getting at is a kicking coach can work on technical points but will rarely make any difference to the length of the kick.
