I still get shivers when I hear those five words uttered in that order. The only people I have heard say this phrase unironically have been simpletons of the Simple Jack variety. It is what it is.....😉
Woods in his prime were his first 3 years. Genuine gun. Then his ego became enormous and he became obsessed with his stat sheet. The amount of play 4 runs he took was way imbalanced. He never ran when we were on the back foot, only once someone else created the momentum. And he had a propensity to offload only when no one was looking.Woods in his prime was not too dissimilar to TDM
I can’t understand the hate for Bateman either. Different things stick with different people. Idk why. Bateman, Cleary etc never bothered me. Woods, Moses and Galvin though grated on me. Just one of those things.Never really understood the hate for the bloke.
Played some great footy for us. Selected for origin, Kangaroos. Clearly not the dud that everyone makes out.
Left the club and said a few dumb things in the heat of the moment. Big deal. many of us have done the same at work.

You stay and you help fix it, if you truly love the club.In fairness to Woodsy, the club was a basketcase. The board and Jason Taylor created so many issues.
But it's nice to hear him admit that the grass wasn't greener. Maybe supporters will start to lay off him a bit now - including myself.
Wasn’t he trying to milk us for a contract a few years ago when Benji came back while woodsy was in reserve gradeAt the time, he was a regular panelist on 360 or whatever it was called at the time. Never once did he back the club, or encourage the other 3 to re-sign. He was out for himself. And that’s fine. If you want to look out for number one, its your prerogative. You don’t have that luxury if you are the club captain though. Could you imagine Tommy Turbo or Cam Murray shrugging their shoulders if asked about off contract players at their clubs? Wouldn’t happen. He had no business being captain. Which he only was due to the Farah drama. The club wanted a local junior for PR.
Could have been. I feel like he’s been wanting back in the club ever since he left. Glad the club hasn’t entertained it. He made his bed.Wasn’t he trying to milk us for a contract a few years ago when Benji came back while woodsy was in reserve grade
It’s nice he never says never. Apparently the club have though.
