The argument for fully embracing the Macarthur as home for the Wests Tigers.

Imo the major problem is that the ownership is located at Ashfield. So as much as people say we need to tap into Macarthar i just cant see it happening while HBG are located at Ashfield. Concord and Leichardt are right around the corner. If Wests Campbelltown owned us we would have had everything relocated to Campbelltown. I left Casula in 2007 and moved to the Gold Coast and the whole time i lived there that whole region wasnt even treated like an afterthought. Remember 2002 Bulldoge getting done after the deal with the Liverpool council went sour after they got busted rorting the salary cap, they were in the process with Liverpool council to build a casino / resort at the Whitlam Centre. Right in our backyard, yet we dod nothing after. Tried to lobby with the Dogs for a 30,000 seat stadium at Woodward park in Liverpool we would share. But nothing else. Imo all because the owners are located at Ashfield with the forsight of a flea.
200% correct we are very lucky the dogs did not pull that off went close on the vote. It is a shame that the muppets who have held back this club are still evolved HBG.

Why? A disgrace? What is?

Why is it not a good idea to focus on Macarthur rather then the inner west? Whats the arguments for the inner west vs the whole Macarthur region (the future of course, not now)

And the inner west are certainly othe teams regions, it would be very very easily gobbled up by the Dogs and Parra.
Whatever man. You're prepared to sell the club out for this myth promised land of endless juniors and success in Macarthur. It's always been there and nothing will change in 15 years time.

The inner west is not gobbled up by dogs and parra. Look at a map before you talk smack. More likely they will eat up the South West.

The Tigers haven't and thats not an argument.

And how long have we been trying at the Inner City?

And you could say thats already failed. Sadly, Balmain are gone.
It hasn't failed at all. We have record crowds every time we play there with virtually zero funding in the area. You must be joking.

Because we LOVE that ground. It's part of our future but the Macarthur region is where we need to be. The expansion is going to make it even harder for unsuccessful clubs like us to sign decent players. Talent is thin on the ground now, we aren't the only club lacking depth. We are going to invest in creating our own players that want to play for us.

its a mighty hill your building . When the 8th wonder gets all the majority of home games when Cambo gets its updated weather shed ,after the 8th has their new tin shed.
Like to see the numbers through the gate and the winning percentages after the shine wears off.

The issue isn’t Ctown. The issue is we suck and lose the majority of games we play. Ctown is one of the few grounds we play at regularly so our record is going to look worse there. Not sure what our record is at Commbank, but I bet it sucks.
If you take out 2005 , 2010 and 2011 I wonder what our win ratio would be .....probably not any higher than 30 % ....

In the same seasons we've managed 56% at LO....your logic is flawed.

Leichhardt is the anomaly statistic...it's absolutely fricken remarkable we have such a high win rate DESPITE the terrible results over the years.

Why we want to dump that, I'll never know.

I can't believe anyone even liked your post...made no sense at all.

Maybe we should have played them at CSS today rather than give them an extra home game ? Something different, when was the last time they came to LO or CSS
We would’ve got pumped by 40 at css, I don’t get why people want us to play there its not a home ground and we can’t win therw

Pretty sure they'll get a big crowd at Campbo in the first couple of games then weather, time of day and the myriad of other excuses will cone out and will just fall back down to 10,000 a game.

Anyway good luck to them. Such a shame to see this club destroyed - South West is a myth.

They even gave out free tickets and couldn’t sell the joint out, absolutely embarrassing group and area of fans

I’ve never come across a club whose supporters separate each other to the extent this fan base does. Ex Balmain fans, ex Magpie fans. Inner West fans, South West fans. The supporters are by products of the club.
I wasn’t even alive when Balmain or wests were around, so I don’t have the predated bias but the equation is pretty simple, we cannot win at Campbelltown and no one turns up to watch the games there, and like 30% of the crowd there is away fans, there is no metric where it is better than Leichhardt
