Season 2027 Head Coach

As always if you surround yourself with "yes men/women" you have a monumental stuff up because people are either too scared to tell you the truth or as deluded as you are.You only have to look at the shambles of a government in the USA to realise that.
I would like to think Marshall has mates around him because he trusts them to give him feedback required rather than because they are yes men.
The personalities of Morris, Hodgson and Heighington don't strike me as yes men. Near as unqualified for their positions as Marshall is his (except Morris) but not yes men.

Iam expecting the Dragons to put a number on us tomorrow and the Chooks could win by 80 plus, than Panthers will win by 50 plus, so Benji just might put the white flag up. He must know next year is going to be the same old battle for the spoon. We are so far off the pace it’s not funny and no coach is going to change that unless he can move on about 15 players and recruit 15 quality players. Guess what..it’s not going to happen

You forgot the cowboys
They'll put 60 on us

You are not seriously comparing Benji with Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon are you?

Only in regards to surrounding yourself with people who agree with you(in Benji's case it could well be concerns about backstabbing which is common at our club)certainly NOT as a human being because Benji is likeable and trying his best for the club and it's supporters while the other is a disgusting piece of manure.

I’d be keen to get any of them 3 here in any coaching capacity especially Gardiner. But if he’s got a memory and knows what’s good for him he’ll not return, but you might be able to sell it to Hornby? BA ain’t coming for GM Or assistant either I don’t reckon.
if hornby sits at souths he will get the gig after bennet, why come here unless it is head coach

Where'd the "culture" go?

Brought in culture players like;
Luai - arrogant, egotistical hype player

Terrell - got asked to leave the roosters for... some reason.

Sunia - flamboyant winger that is known to play music on a Bluetooth speaker

We should've been targeted hard working players that drive standards. Guys, who in the past, were Dale Finucane, Josh Jackson and Cronk. Hard trainers.

May have of gone for the wrong culture.

Then you are actually saying it's solely Benji's fault for the coaching/selections?

I don't know where the fault lies, likely multiple issues combined. Hard to pinpoint any one issue from outside the four walls.
But, yes the buck stops at Benji (and those that initially appointed him and then those that extended him and allowed him carte blanche over his coaching team).

I think it is very easy to criticise (and justified to do so). Not so easy to see a solution. People saying how about this bloke or that bloke as assistant. I don't disagree that a lot of the suggestions would improve the place. I just can't see any of them coming here to be an assistant. Similarly it appears the head coaching role is a tougher gig than most would be willing to take on. So whilst I'd be fine with a new coach, I'm just not sure of the quality we could attract.

This doesn't mean I don't think the club should look into instilling a coaching director type role or overhauling the extended coaching team with more experience. I'm just not sure how fruitful it would be.

Unfortunately, I can't offer up a solution either. In SMs position would however start with a tough conversation with Benji about his failings. Issues to address include player attitude. Are players preparing appropriately (or vaping in the gym)? Are some loud voices destabilizing the side due to only looking after their own interests (Doueihi)? Would removing these personalities help? Why can't we dominate the middle and how can this be addressed (more wrestling sessions, recruitment, overhauling defensive structures/specialist defensive coach). What value are you getting out of your assistants and what are you not getting that you need? How far off are the likes of Latu, Javon, Sakuru, Makasini etc from being reliable first graders? Do we need to recruit over them in the mean time? How much does the stink of the club hinder recruitment/retention? How can we attract players here beyond simply paying more?
There's probably dozen more questions that need addressing, this is simply what came to my head immediately.

And then similar questions of all out going players and any current former players that will return my call.
