They didn’t say they left on bad terms but do we ever get the full story on anything that happens at this club?
The fans constantly get the everything is fine story, they trained really well, they tried their hardest, really proud of the effort. Basically the team sit around a campfire singing Kumbaya & are one big happy family. Blind Freddy can see the results & dramas do not reflect any of that.
 
Morris did an excellent job taking the Sharks to the top eight in both 2019 and 2020 after Flanagan was de-registered.

I rate Bomber, but I think he was hampered by Benji's attack first style of football and his 'bro first' attitude.

There has obviously been tension with Benji's coaching style from the beginning, with Galvin, Luai, and then Doueihi. Unfortunately, Benji plays favourites to the detriment of the team. We've seen this with some head shaking team lists over the last two years.

richo could do both because he had the runs on the board & knew football/cap management as well as club operations. SM has said himself he’s not across the football side, which is why a GM was important

Willie Peters isnt an option. He's already signed as PNG Chiefs head coach.

Good observation Leck. You will remember that Benji and Robbie ran the “boys club” back in the day and it was pretty well sanctioned by Sheens.
Maybe Benji feels this setup is part of the fabric for a successful WT era!!!

My memory of what it was like when Benji and Robbie had a group of players around them that loved the jersey and represented the club well, didn't want to leave the club, played for less money - labelled a boys club - I say bring back the Boys Club.

He did remove Bateman so he did get something right.

Yeah, I saw that too. I just can't see Brad working well with Benji as an assistant though. He's a bit old school and wouldn't take any nonsense. In saying that, he could possibly be a good mentor if they gelled.

I think Burgess would be a good fit. They have similar personalities, a bit brash and still very hands-on. They're around the same age, and I also think Sam would love to be back in Aus to be closer to his kids.

That boys club surprisingly won a comp and then got too big for their boots and took 5 more years to play another finals game.
We don’t want that crap again, we want a consistent group of professional players who play to be successful.
Couldn’t give a shit if they like the club or not.

You mighten want it but I'd take it in a heartbeat. I enjoyed watching my team play then on a regular basis instead of willing the season to end. Never in the bottom 4 and some of the best days of the footy when the on field stuff was the talk about WTs instead of the off field embarrassment we have become.
 
We’ve had every defence coach known to man and no one except Folkes has helped.

I don’t think it’s a defensive system issue, I think it’s conditioning. It was there at the start of the season and fell away badly.

Need to bring the right strength and conditioning people in and players have to be committed.
