Fast food, restaurant and takeaway prices are generally a good a barometer for extreme inflation.

You're right, I assumed they were Aussie prices. I just looked it up online, and the price was $7.20 last year, which at $8.50 is still a significant 18% rise.You realise that is the US price listed at $5.99.
