If anyone doesn’t believe that the Labor Government has created a cost of- iving crisis driven by overspending, which has contributed to extreme inflation, all you have to do is compare the price of a Big Mac in 2025, $5.99, to the price in 2026, $8.50.

Fast food, restaurant and takeaway prices are generally a good a barometer for extreme inflation.

You realise that is the US price listed at $5.99.

Yep we have a terrible problem with winning.
But that doesn't take into account the absolute GREAT DAYS when the maggies won, when they upset the more fancied teams, the 70s when Parra could not win a game EVER at Lidcombe Oval, Dallas kicking a field goal, Jim Leis scoring 4 tries in a game against Penrith, all the "Fibros" stories, and many many more .........

Or the day Don Lane went into the Lidcombe away sheds when his beloved Souths team was down at half time so he gave them a pep talk to bring back their passion by smashing his Rolex - only to realise later that the "smashed watch" was actually his original expensive Rolex - NOT the fake one he thought he destroyed for dramatic purposes ....

Oh, there's just too many great days to recall every moment, every magpie try, the laughter, the friends along the way ....

The truth is some things are just black and white.

But that was then.
We're now the Wests Tigers.,
