In my opinion Madden is one of our better players. To me he always seems with it and switched on and there are no dramas around him, he just gets on with the job at hand. To me we need more like him at this club.

I think he just struggles with confidence

Not sure about that. I reckon he plays above ceiling of his physical ability and that’s not sustainable week in week out. It’s like it’s his last game of NRL every week.
Come on madden , can’t tackle, can’t make a break , is slow as a snail, but if u want us to finish in the bottom half again , then msdden is ur man

Ironic that people saying Javon isn’t ready are prepared to play Madden at 7.
Benji was weak defensively in 2005. Grew throughout the season , ended up making game saving tackles in the semi against broncos …

I found it really interesting that when Luai went off in our last game Madden played with a lot more freedom.

Need to put him with good defenders inside and out, just as Benji had.

I like him he’s an actual 7, but I can’t see him getting much better than where he’s at now and that’s not gunna take us to the top, but at his price we keep him for as long as possible with the view of getting a better 7 internally or externally asap.

Exactly.
Which ones are those in our team?
You could have Twal on one side but I’m struggling for another?

Home to him is Qld and there would be no shortage of clubs from Qld wanting him.

Outside of WTs, I hear a lot of positive comments about Madden and how much smoother our team appears with the ball when he is at 7. Like any half, he will require protection.

Adam Doueihi defended amazing outside KPP. KPP movement and decision making makes defence for his outside men so much easier. Thats where Javon needs to defend. I dont think his defence will be any worse than Maddens to be honest.

Madge coached him when he was with us
Broncs should throw the lot to get him

I rate him... I believe he was playing injured also, so my previous assessments may have been a bit harsh.
