Madden is costing them like less than a $100k year with the Broncos paying the rest …it would cost them more to replace him with someone on the minimum …. Makes little sense to move him on …at the very worse he is a valid depth option for 2027,,

Pretty sure his Broncs contract was to end 2026 so I doubt they’re paying beyond that but I don’t know for sure

In my opinion Madden is one of our better players. To me he always seems with it and switched on and there are no dramas around him, he just gets on with the job at hand. To me we need more like him at this club.

Not sure about that. I reckon he plays above ceiling of his physical ability and that’s not sustainable week in week out. It’s like it’s his last game of NRL every week.

The Doueihi chat is useful. It’s genuinely sorts the forum into two groups. One group gets the role of a 7. The other group, simply put, don’t get the role.

There is no way that Benji goes into next season with Doueihi as 7… zero, none, nope, let it go, won’t happen. Madden will play 7 over Doueihi. Seeing Latu create at 6 in the final game gives me hope that it could even work ‘okay’

Ironic that people saying Javon isn’t ready are prepared to play Madden at 7.

Benji was weak defensively in 2005. Grew throughout the season , ended up making game saving tackles in the semi against broncos …

Need to put him with good defenders inside and out, just as Benji had.

I like him he’s an actual 7, but I can’t see him getting much better than where he’s at now and that’s not gunna take us to the top, but at his price we keep him for as long as possible with the view of getting a better 7 internally or externally asap.
