Blaming it all on HBG is a cop out. Sure they are partly to blame, but not solely. If the coach wasn’t a club legend, there is no way in the world he’d get the pass he does from some. Though, maybe HBG are solely to blame. It’s why we’re reduced to a coaching staff that make the Three Stooges look like astute scholars in comparison. No one who has any kind of a track record wants to work for them.

They have to be solely to blame dont they? They are the ones in charge, they are the ones who have been running the club for years. If you dont blame the ones in charge, who do you blame?

I don’t think it’s a cop out. They’re the ones that hire the GMs and CEOs that in turn hire the coaches.

Its not a cop out at all, infact, it requires more attention.

They sacked the board and pushed out the best ceo we have had in over a decade.

This was the trigger to everythjng that followed, including Luai not removing his clauses and having the ability to sign with PNG.

Richo had given Benji enough rope to hang himself; he was being held accountable.

This lot extended him for 5 years and didnt think to put in clauses about early termination.

Finding other excuses is the real cop out, because it all starts with the owners, their investments (lack of) and the implications of the decisions they have made.

They are the only common denominator between 2012 and now.

Several coaches have come and gone, two of which went on to win five premierships between themselves. A few WT administrations have come and gone. A multitude of players have come and gone, many of those to win premierships.

HBG have failed to appoint a quality leadership team within the club who are responsible for appointing a quality coaching outfit who then are responsible for building and maintaining a quality roster.

It all starts at the top.

The Knights turn around involved the whole playing group in its decision making process with a massive grass roots push.
 
You can't be successful when you are operating with a factional board more interested in self preservation than the job at hand. And that's how this club has been functioning pretty much since it's inception. The onus for our failure is 💯 on the back of all those who have held a position of power and have failed at advancing the WTs and systematically damaged the club brand by doing so without any regard for the supporters who have stuck solid through all the rot.

Why ? Do you know him? Have you trained with him ? Been on the field next to him? Jesus , he has played origin , is fit as hell, can play multiple roles, hits hard , loves to win and has played in multiple systems .. exactly the type of seasoned pro out young nrl team need to show them how to win in the trenches in tough games .. won’t break the damn bank, I really cannot fathom the whining and negativity on here ..
