What for, even if only for a pittance.we will retain Mason for a pittance ,
are you a Skelton fan or not, this post says you are ,but bugger me a few pages back here or another thread you were against his retention - Love you 2 an expect no reply u attention seeker you.1. Bula - Attard/Mason/Bryenton
2. Turuva - Tavana
3. Averillo - Herbert
4. May - Saukuru
5. Makasini - Tupou
6. Doueihi - Andrews
7. Fainu - Madden
8. May - ???
99. Korisau - Haywood
10. Pole - Aho
11. KPP - Sukkar/Godinet
12. Fainu - Roberts
13. Twal - Seyfarth
14. Brailey - Schuster/Mason/Lanyon
15. Mann - Duncombe/Plati
16. Fainu - Taupau- Moors
17. Hunt - Taateo
** Where are our biggest weaknesses?
- Many of our supporters will say the halves and they might be correct, but depending on how well and how quickly Latu Fainu and Javon Andrews develop, it could become a strength. Also factoring in Doueihi as a potential starting 5/8 or Madden as a potential starting half back, would add good experience and are proven they can get the job done when at their best.
- I see a glaring depth and competition for starting position weakness at right centre and right wing as I’m not confident Patrick Herbert or Tino Tavana are up to it against better than average NRL opponents.
It was a bad move to let Skelton go unless we recruit someone better.
- We are still very thin in the forwards. The possible signing of Tyson Frizell would add one more NRL proven middle forward, but it still looks to be missing at least one more forward with a bit of x-factor,, a bit of speed or something out of the ordinary.
We have a few spots to fill. What for, even if only for a pittance.
buggered if i know - who else would pay minimal for him to up root his lifeWhat for, even if only for a pittance.
We ideally need an upgrade on Skelton, someone who can play wing or centre and apply genuine pressure for an NRL starting position.are you a Skelton fan or not, this post says you are ,but bugger me a few pages back here or another thread you were against his retention - Love you 2 an expect no reply u attention seeker you.
think Jeral would man up in the scrum, he has the build attitude, for 20minsI would ideally like an upgrade on Skelton, someone who can play wing or centre and apply genuine pressure for an NRL starting position.
Tavana is not an upgrade on Skelton and Herbert as our main back up right centre does not fill me with confidence.
Mason is still young ,muilty talented across the park, his time will maybe in 6 yrs time if he stays in the game.No:1 million $ 1/2 back 4 the chooks - lolWhat for, even if only for a pittance.
As long as he doesn't take a top 30. Give him a cup contract.we will retain Mason for a pittance ,
Signing Frizell will be as successful as the signing of his former fellow Knight prop, Klemmer. With the Mann and Brailey signings and the Frizell rumours its pretty clear the club sees addressing the gap in depth, experience and professionalism as a priority. I prefer these type of signings rather tha perennial cup players looking for an opportunity.
you came out of the blocks firing from a lay off ,lol , normally im against the old man signings ,hope this is different ,Mann also ,Signing Frizell will be as successful as the signing of his former fellow Knight prop, Klemmer.
There's got to be a young prop somewhere ready to fully embrace a solid 40-60min in a NRL. The Roosters seem.to pull one out of their arse every second season.
That's coming from a person who has built his/hers online character around a children's book. Why don’t you try actually replying/tagging me first, you illiterate weasel?
Usually I'd agree, but the current squad lacks old heads. Frizell has impressed me this final series.Signing Frizell will be as successful as the signing of his former fellow Knight prop, Klemmer.

The fact twal was deemed our best player is an embarrassment and an indictment on the appalling state of our rosterWhen our 2026 Player of the Year in Twal and our most wholehearted player throughout 2026 in Seyfarth have both thrown their full support behind Doueihi, I think that indicates there was good reason for his actions.
But our fans with no idea about the situation, other than what they hear and see in the media, think they know better.
It's absolutely laughable that anyone who follows this club thinks they Doeuihi should be a senior player to guide our you've halves. He is not a 5/8 or a 7, he's not a lock or a centre. He's a lazy, selfish player who only looks after himself. He's a luxury we can't afford. He has no place in our starting 13. With Mann joining he has no spot in our top 17.Some very good points.
We are be a much lesser team without Doueihi’s tackle busting and line breaking ability.
It takes away from his strengths when he is playing at 7, hence his best games in 2026 were when Jock Madden wore the 6 jersey, but was clearly playing as our dominant play making 7.
Correct in saying we have 2 young and highly talented halves, but it’s very risky and unlikely to work if we throw them both in the halves together at NRL level to start the 2027 season.
They ideally need an experienced halve alongside them to give them the extra time and experience they require.
I love how we have a core of supporters who love voicing their opinion that they think we should simply kick Doueihi to the curb, but have no idea how we replace him between now and the start of tbe 2027 season.
He's not spot 30. He played more than half the season this bloody year! He should be spot 37 instead he's in the top 30no we don't. Herbert's basically spot 30 on the roster. in years' past that spot has been reserved for players like Will Craig.
currently for depth in the outside backs we have Herbert, Saukuru and Makasini in the 30 with Tavana and Attard on development contracts.
one more is absolutely required, particularly with the six-man bench.
There was a time when Crossland and Madden were the two hottest young halves in the game. Madden was always the better halfback, Crossland worked on his versatility and it paid off for himWould love to have Crossland , he is a tackling machine, and can cover , hooker , backrow, lock , 1/2 and 5/8 , maybe he could teach our non tackling players
Well not to be a Debbie Downer about that list, but those first 3 signed to us - Te'o left without achieving a whole lot, Kahu left without kicking a ball in anger (and never amounted to anything) and Marion Seve only got game time as a Storm backup, also getting injured a whole bunch and retiring this year.
I'm super suspect about injuries for Cody Walker. He'll be 37 start of next year and had an ordinary run of leg injuries 2026, including that last calf injury going down untouched, prior to that hamstrings.Cody Walker has been offered to other clubs via his management (Danny Weidler).
we need to be at the table.
I agree, there must be something more to it, because I was always reasonably impressed when he played.Really disappointed if we have lost Skelton. I don’t see anything in Tavana & nobody in our lower grades played better than Skelton & he isn’t on big coin. Solo probably gets first crack at a wing spot with Tito but everyone below them struggle in cup.
