Nah can't link a quote as it was a private conversation so you can take what i say with a grain of salt. Just pointing out that there may very well be some truth to players not necessarily wanting to be flogged in training.

I personally didn't buy into the "Madge is too tough" argument while he was at Souths. I have since heard from players that have not played for Tigers or Souths they believe Madges training/recovery regime is reckless and irresponsible. Just pointing out that their may be some truth to players...
