When you see some of those names in the backline reality bites unfortunately.

Hopefully the young players such as Wilson, Scolari, Cini (defence needs to improve), Talau and Dillon are given a go. We don't have the answers in the top grade. For example, we know what we will get with Nofoaluma. scores a try, lets two or three in and gets run down from behind. Wouldn't nit be nice to see a young winger in the clear and go the full distance?

Why isn’t Latrell Mitchell Josh Addo-Carr and Alex Johnston in the team...

I think Musgrove and Talau will be given some time in CC before moving into starting side. I know it won’t happen but I think our side looks more balanced with Benji at hooker. We will need a utility in the bench without an established 80min hooker. I hope we promote Simpkins to top 30.

Yea Musgrove hasn't played in years and Talau is a work in progress. I agree, they'll start the year in CCUP.

Madge liked Twal on the bench so I think we'll see that most of the year too.

Eiso at 13 is a weak link imo.
I'd have ET or Aloiai there.

Everyone neeeds to understand the only reason Twal was coming off the bench was due to our depth in prop rotation with packer, Big Ben and Aloiai all b8mg injured

Think there are a couple of weak links - Jennings should be playing A grade, maybe at Birchgrove Oval. I would rather have Talau even though he has played only 1 NRL game. Maybe Thommo on the wing if Abbey comes good before round 1.

Eisenhuth I'd swap for Taylor. I'd also swap Clark for Packer.

Think Benji at DH is a good idea but only for selected games where he could be effective. He couldn't play DH for 16-18 games until Liddle comes back. In the other other games it is going to have to be what Madge decides, Mbye, Reynolds (if he is cleared to play), Walters or someone else that is signed before round one.

It may have only been Jersey Flegg but I'm very excited about Tommy Talau this year. The first few games there were a number of times he attracted 2 and 3 players down the right hand edge & put Scolari away who used his raw speed and aggression to beat the cover and score regularly.

I think that as a forum we are probably a bit impatient as we have been waiting for years but a lot of these players including the above and Wilson, Cini, Dillon, Smith, Fenn etc are going to bigger and hopefully faster as most are 19 and not 20 until next year but they should develop and grow at this stage of their lives.

Realistically with the exception of Talau, these players should hit their straps in the big grade in 2021 but certainly could get some experience at the top level this year.

It's just a matter whether the club and fans can recognise and wait for this.

Reckon all this age limit/development contract stuff is actually helping produce better players? Can't help thinking just let the young fellas play and get big time FG experience as early as possible.

Have faith Steve - I think we'll go all right (i.e. make the eight), even if we don't sign anyone new.

I think Mikaele is a benchie.
Madge liked Twal from the bench in 2019 too....

I think you're close but Oliver Clarke & Packer to start....
Maybe Musgrove plays CUP for half the season too, not sure.
A lot of uncertainties.

I reckon Twal and Mikaele is the future of our pack - I think it’s best to give them that promotion and let that combo develop a little

In terms of Oliver Clarke, personally I’m not his biggest fan and would much prefer someone like Musgrove over him

Packer needs some match fitness before he starts, I think it’s best for him to come off the bench and watch his progress then sometime later in the year depending on how he plays start him in place of Mikaele

I think in terms of the pieces we have that would be our strongest starting 17
