WTF – Wests Tigers Faithful Podcast

So what is the plan for next week Mac? Do we get a special guest, a cardboad cutout of Reedie or will you be unleashed no one to hold you back?

TEAM LIST Official Round 21 v Panthers squad

I just realised that I posted this in the wrong thread. I'll have to see if one of the Mods can change it over for me. The chances of our boys following the game plan I came up with is pretty slim. I'm thinking it will be close and with Cleary's boot v ADs Im thinking 16-14 to the good guys...

    Izaac Tu’itupou #302

Great opportunity to use Taylan, Skelton and Izaac against a smaller oppostion. We may need to play with a bit more depth to counter Penrith;s compressed defence but that could well be to our advantage.

TEAM LIST Official Round 21 v Panthers squad

Here is a plan to get it done. Wests Tigers v Penrith Panthers – High Energy to Counter the Grind This weekend we face the Panthers in a winnable game. We demonstrated in the last outing what it takes to defeat the Panthers – High Energy to counter the grind on both sides of the ball. Use...

LIVE GAME Round 20 v Titans

Lets see what we pull out of the bag on Saturday - we tend to play to the standard the other team is playing at for some reason. There is nothing to say we can't get one over the Panthers. I think there are a few of the good guys with a point ot prove this weekend.

Enjoy Tassie Reedie - it will be blooby cold down there but still enjoyable.

    Adam Doueihi #227

He is worth keeping as a depth utility as he covers a few positions. However, none of them are at NRL starter level. I would be happy to pay him extra for his versatility. If he can prove his worth as a 13, even better. Given last weekend was his first hit out as a starting 13 he did OK. Was...

Wests Tigers Deep Dive of the Week

Spot on - this builds on the spine analysis - we need a bit more grunt and a settled halves combination. I trust that Taylan addresses the strike issue out wide and Star sorts his arm and gets that combination going wih Taruva on the other side. I think most of the pieces are startign to fall...

Wests Tigers Deep Dive of the Week

I am 100% with you on the lack of footy IQ - but that can also be addressed from the sideline with a message. I expected Api/Luai to be able to make a change if they are affecting our game plan.

LIVE GAME Round 20 v Titans

Yes, withut a doubt - but this predates AD going to 13. His move has added to the instability. We need to make a decision pretty quickly on AD and or the 13 postion so we can bed it down early and get pelnty of reps in before the 26 pre-season.

LIVE GAME Round 20 v Titans

I just finshed a deep dive on this issue. Let me know if you think I got it right or if there is more to it. I have raised some views that I expect will be contentious - interesting to see how contentious it is. The Deep dive is here.

Wests Tigers Deep Dive of the Week

Deep Dive 10: Why Do the Tigers Train All Week But Fail to Execute on Game Day? I’ve been thinking a lot about this lately, especially after heaing for the last few weeks that we are not sticking to the game plan. So if we are doing it at training why is it falling apart on the paddock. The...

WTF – Wests Tigers Faithful Podcast

I think you are on point with that and you deinintely need them otherwise, as you have pointed out the points don't come. I think the prioritisation of the ideal build is that centres and wingers, depite playing an important role are cheaper in terms of salary cap so you can probably afford to...

LIVE GAME Round 20 v Titans

Just warched the replay of 100% Footy. Api said that they went away from the FG set. I expect the gap that opened for Luai was the catalyst. That said - they got into the right position and executed so good skills there. Interesting from Api was why Benji was filthy - there were so many errors...

LIVE GAME Round 20 v Titans

I think it shows that they were thinking but could have executed a little better. The Luai option I think was the right one - but the scond left play not so good. We should have had a crack on the 4th to give us a second optionon the fifth if it didn't work. As you indicated - probably a good...

    Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Yes, we should have a very good handle on who fits in where and how we are going to play. Interesting discussion on the Game Review and Coaching Masterclass in relation to Hunt and his fitness KPIs to have him back playign FG with improved minutes. Not sure who will drop out of the trees in...

Wests Tigers Podcast - Hosted by Helmsey&Eddie.

Great discussion guys, thanks. I enjoyed the depth of the analysis and the differences in opinion that were shared. Interesting takes on the short drop out with the wind - I think in that situation I would have opted for the long kick, but after the discussion understand fully why the short kick...

LIVE GAME Round 20 v Titans

While I was also screaming at the idiot box as they took opportunites that seemed to rule out the FG attempt when it came to execution it happened flawlessly. Every player knew wehre they had to be and despite the horrible kick we got home. Penrith have had a couple of FG attempts charged down...

    Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I'm sure we do run plays at training and we know Benji gets in there and demonstrates what the wants to achieve. Why isn't it translating? It may be round 20 but it is only round three with a new halves combination. Latu got "lost" on more than one occasion yesterday and you could see Luai at...

    The Doueihi move

AD did OK in Defence - 30 odd tackles in 60 minutes with 89% effectiveness if I recall correctly. He was not outstanding but did his job. Less room for them to manoeuvre probably helps his decision making. IT wasn't an outstanding performance on either side of the ball, but it is an exercise...
