I was at most Balmain games in the 70's and 80's and watched Larry a lot - he was a favourite. Reminds me a bit of the Hammer - always seemed to run just fast enough to score or chase. Not sure we ever saw him in absolute top gear.

Yeah problem with a lot of "academic" pieces is that it is usually all based on statistics and not necessarily actual verifiable data.... and as they say you can always find a statistic to support your argument, as well as "Lies, damned lies, and statistics"

Don't know, don't care. But it is always easy as an employee to put the boot in when they leave - media will eat it up. Same mindset set as blaming a coach for poor on field performances. Always easier to sack one person than the team.
