Don't think Pascoe can make Lee do anything. He's just an employee of the club. Lee has also said in the past that he will ask the Board to sack Pascoe if there's a case to do so (lawyer's answer I know). You're probably right about the financial stuff. Seems all they care about.

Hopefully this catastrophic defeat will at least result in a change of CEO and a new Chair. Lee has said he'll step down if asked and Pascoe has presided over too many years of abject failure to survive. Would at least be a sign that shameful garbage like the stuff dished up yesterday has...
