You'll need to point me to the part where I said I know better. I'm asking questions which I believe the club should be asking too.

    Recruitment

Given the fact that we are missing out on any player we target who as any kind of alternative offer means one of a number of possibilities: 1. Our valuations are not realistic. It's all very noble saying we won't pay overs but any player is worth what a given club is willing to pay him. 2...

In any recruitment process the privacy of all parties involved needs to be respected. Negotiations are difficult and intricate and public comment can easily jeopardize this at any point. Its got nothing to do with personal embarrassment but if you don't think the chairman saying we are moving...

    Tevita Pangai Junior

This isn't difficult stuff. You make no comment to the media regarding players contracted to other clubs until you have their signature on a legally binding document. Anything else is completely unprofessional.

In all those cases though club officials refrain from commenting publicly at least until the deal is more or less done. Our club officials on the other hand, particularly our chairman and his hat, are more than happy to be a rent a quote for the media. He did this for Latrell and JAC and three...

This is true but a lot of this stuff was played out in public, just like Latrell and JAC and that’s why it looks so bad for the club.

You missed the part where we publicly pulled out of the race to sign him and then later made contact again with his agent to renew our interest only to have him turn us down flat for the wooden spooners offering the same money. If you don’t think thats embarrassing for the club then we’ll agree...

    Tevita Pangai Junior

Regardless of anything else TPJ is a player we identified as one we wanted, publicly courted him and ultimately missed out on to the wooden spooners. It’s another embarrassment for the club to go on top of a growing pile of them.

    One home ground

It's easy to be critical of the club for this but to be fair there's no real clear answer to this at the moment as the bickering on this thread clearly demonstrates. Even leaving our situation aside he decision to divert funding from Homebush to Penrith and Brookvale/Kogarah is utterly short...

    One home ground

Club has been shafted again here. It makes no sense to spend money on a one club one code stadium in Penrith. If V'Landys is happy to ask the WT to share with the Bulldogs at Liverpool why not ask Penrith to share Bankwest with Parra. And not a coin proposed to be spent on Leichhardt. I have...

Born in the People’s Republic of Glasgow, moved to Australia in 2007. Now living in the Hills District, still wondering how we ended up Tigers fans.

    Luke Brooks

I don’t think anyone is saying Brooks was the only reason we lost but he was poor and there needs to be accountability for poor performances. There seems to be for other player, Liddell, Joey, Musgrove and Mikaele all dropped to reserve grade at different points this year. His attempted...

    Hastings signed for 22/23 *Official.

Don't really see much downside to this signing. worst case scenario is we get a replacement for Mbye in the utility role for much cheaper. Realistically though we'll be getting competition for Brooks for the number 7 jersey, something we don't have today.

    Gerrard Sutton

For all three incidents picked up post match to be missed by the ref, both touch judges and the bunker ref is pretty unbelievable and a bit sinister. Every one of them should be stood down for next week and our club should be pushing hard for that.

Good enough for a serious team

The problem is not that Benji left, it's that we didn't sign anyone to replace either his of Josh Reynolds place in the squad leaving us with no real alternative to Brooks in the event of injury or loss of form. A major failure in recruitment in my opinion.

    Attitude and Performance...

Was saying to my son before the game started, on an occasion like Sunday playing a struggling side it should have been all about a fast aggressive start to get the crowd into the game and put pressure on a fragile Cowboys team. That should have been the message as they left the sheds...

    Luke Brooks

The whole team was culpable for the first half shambles and the whole team lifted in the second half. The first half was as much about toothless attack as rubbish defence, Brooks played well i the second half as did most of the team but shares the culpability for the first half horror show.

    Luke Brooks

Absolving Brooks from any accountability for yesterdays result kind of sums up for me where we are as a club. The game was lost in the first half when the attack was every bit as diabolical as the defence and Brooks was front and centre of that failure. The whole team rallied in the second...

    The Ground Announcer

Also whoever is in charge of the half time entertainment should be sacked first thing this morning. The "mannequin challenge" was genuinely the worst and most cringe worthy attempt I have ever seen and these has been some stiff competition for that award.
