Neither did I, but it worked and will work in the NRL if implemented.

Scorer kicking off was on show throughout the only Super League season, and it worked well.

Latu certainly gets in some weird positions defensively, with a technique verging on dangerous looking at times when he gets so low to the ground. Still, apart from a lone(?) penalty from recollection, that odd style has been nearly as effective as his pretty well front on just under the ball...

I would expect that Latu would be able to run at half in non-contact sessions no later than the new year and minor contact shortly after, if there are no complications. Imperfect, but not much difference from rep players returning last season.

Adam's defence at centre, particularly outside Luai improved massively and he went okay in his lock stint as well. Sadly, his biggest defensive problem, decision making when playing a little wider in the halves remains.

Maybe, though for mine the momentum advantage of the game has changed too much lately through the ruck rule changes and those with it could still choose to risk a short kick off to maintain it.

It was the only good thing about Super League and should definitely be instrumented in all young junior games to stop the imbalance between sides. Nothing more demoralising than standing behind your tryline half the game when you basically don't touch the ball.

    Alex Seyfarth #232

I hope that Alex plays a bit of KOE, though mainly because that will mean someone more worthy will have forced their way ahead of him on the bench. Would also much prefer him if he could find the right balance of controlled aggression, which is something we lack and he can really rile up...

    Alex Seyfarth #232

You are welcome to believe whatever is going on with your eyes and synapses, though I don't recall anyone else on the forum forming that opinion, and that is before statistics come into it. I would argue that the similarly unsuited Sione brought better performances. Alex has a role to play, but...

    2026 pre season

Yeah, reckon we all wish that we had even a rough idea of the available cap space. If indeed there are 3 open spots, my stab is say $750/800k, or basically 2 average salaries remaining to split between them.

I didn't comprehensively read it, but in my skimming of it he came off as being pleased that WT had seen enough of him at rugby to want him and feeling at home now, whilst not happy that he was overlooked twice by Parramatta. Relatively few players are at the club that they supported, and not a...

    2026 pre season

KPP brings to WT the luxury of now having a pair of 80 minute edge forwards. That should allow us another middle interchange, as well as Terrell playing less and more effective minutes. I expect that Bunty has been promised a top 30 spot similar to the Sione situation prior this season, and...

Me too, though the primary 13 decision has no doubt already been made, which will allow whichever direction chosen to be concentrated on throughout the coming months.

    Alex Seyfarth #232

I believe that too and have suggested he may be moved if a suitably good replacement was signed. Regardless, Seyfarth is nothing more than a desperation fill-in as an edge forward.

What a day or so on the forum. Our British international right edge signing in KPP doesn't deserve to be classed as an international, and Seyfarth is good enough to push Samuela into the middle. Seriously, WTF!

He does that basically every match that he plays, and with few missed tackles too. Yet still not good enough for some when supposedly signed for not much more than average salary.

Surely the club have had the artist address his original effort by now?

Not having seen it, that would be a bonus, as he already brings enough without it to massively improve our right edge.

I knew that I had seen something about Craig a while back, so it was pretty depressing reading the club's July 2023 pathways press release again today, where they write about our supposed future, including Will Craig being on a multi year contract. Rising stars give glimpse to the future |...
