Have a Gese at how many Backrowers the teams around us have. Titans, Eels, Dragons. Most teams play 4 Backrowers at least each game. Is that’s 7 at the club, that’s 3 in the reserves list. That’s standard depth!

Race to escape the Bottom 4

Recently i would have been happy with 9 wins, that’s a 50% increase on wins each year from since Benji has been involved. If the pattern continues we may finish on 13-14 wins next year! However since the Dogs win there’s a chance we could be on equal points with Manly if we beat them in a...

    Adam Doueihi #227

I wonder if the Dragons offer has to factor in management fees to IM whereas AD is negotiating directly with us or has he given IM the green light to get a deal done with both parties?

    Benji 2025 and Beyond

I get what you’re saying, but I disagree. Talents like Moylan, RCG, DWZ and Yeo over that initial period with a recent debutants in 2016 in Nathan Cleary, Edwards, JFH and Leota they were primed.

    OFFICIAL Jarome Luai - #295

I’ll take a career first graders opinion over fans observations. At the start of the season Cooper Cronk predicted Jarome would struggle at halfback unless our pack would allow him to play on the front foot. Go through all our games and look to see which ones he was most effective in and...

    OFFICIAL Jarome Luai - #295

No, I was actually giving Cook more credit than he gets. He’s a good hooker and held the nsw spot over Api. Api was the transition hooker with NSW between Cooke and Robson.

    Benji 2025 and Beyond

I dare say Penrith would of had more success earlier if he wasn’t sacked end of 15.

Bet you he sticks around for 26 maybe moves to Perth or a new club the following year.

    Benji 2025 and Beyond

I remember that that experienced coach had a philosophy of letting his first team the warriors play what they see and just promote / move the ball utilising their strengths. I also remember when he came to us, he seemed to have us very well prepped with a game plan that he felt could best beat...

Hopgood has been retained, just moved a more mobile player into lock. Hopgood plays prop for them now.

Well that could be the parramatta forward then with it being reported by Buzz whom also announced they are set to sign someone.

LIVE GAME Round 21 versus Panthers

It’s the same story again isn’t it. I only watched the game in patches but reading through the play to play cruicial errors by us gave them territory and momentum to capitalise where as we just can’t take advantage in the same fashion at the moment. I wonder about the penalty goal. For me that...

LIVE GAME Round 21 versus Panthers

It’s a long bow but I tried rewatching some games from 23 dogs season looking for signs that they were building a consistent structure despite being soundly beaten. You kinda see it in the games.

I see us going down the path of filling a top 30 with nrl experienced players at least for the next 2-3 years. Kids will be kept but not put on an immediate pedestal.

I’ve noticed this, do you think it’s been since he basically dislocated his elbow to get the ball away to Charlie Stains for the try, It looked like a very awkward offload?.?

Yes this. I noticed when the Dev deals were first introduced a lot of clubs used it to give their experienced back ups a better pay day whilst still having their first choice players making up the top 30.

LIVE GAME Round 21 versus Panthers

To get a quick play the ball, you basically have to concede in contact. Ie hit and drop. As Jolls mentioned in an earlier post too high and they can use your body in the momentum of the tackle. Unless you can take advantage of running at a single or weak defender to break a tackle or the line...

LIVE GAME Round 21 versus Panthers

To put that into perspective despite there being probably a similar amount of change in both 17s from last year the difference is that Penriths change was to players outside their core, that has mostly remained in tact and it’s the younger inexperienced players that had to develop into the...
