    OFFICIAL Jahream Bula #269

He has the ability to make mistakes, yes like all good players. I guess, when I talk upside, I'm thinking of an ability to instigate a win with attacking flair. But again, it could be interpreted as all round potential to change a game for the better. At the moment, I put Drinkwater in front...

TEAM LIST Round 7 vs Broncos

I've really grown to like Jarome. I thought he was a bit of a show pony at the Panthers, especially after one or two of the Grand Final wins but now I can see he is a real family man, a supporter of his people and local community and a tremendous team mate and leader.

Ha, I agree Drinkwater can be feeble in defense and can drop the occasional bomb. Not sure if he's lost a game on his own but he's certainly won a few games for the Cowboys.

    OFFICIAL Jahream Bula #269

I'm not disputing Jahream's contribution to the side or his form last week in particular. He was good with ball in hand and, as usual, under the high ball. The question was about comparitive upside and I'd still put Drinkwater in front, in terms of his ability to change a game.

Yes and they did well. Confident, honest and humble. I thought Twal, in particular, was impressive.

Didn't know that. All the best to him.

    Fair enough.

The debate was about Drinkwater and Bula and which has the greatest upside. I contend, that, at the moment Drinkwater is able to do the three things I mentioned, and therefore, has the greater upside. And, yes, Walsh and Faolongo can do that, along with Ponga.

TEAM LIST Round 7 vs Broncos

I agree, he played some good games for the Tigers. He was quite fast and a handy goalkicker.

Upside? I'd question that at the moment. Can Bula ballplay? Can Bula create something out of nothing? Can Bula singlehandedly win a game?

2026 Will We Win the comp

No, I don't think we can win the comp and, to be honest, I'm still not completely convinced we will be in the 8. However, I'm gradually starting to believe with each win. If we can knock over Brisbane, Canberra and Cronulla, then I'll really think that this year could be different.....

    Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Does Timoko work on the wharves? Didn't know there was a harbour in Canberra. Seriously, Timoko would be a good signing but do we need him?

    Heamasi Makasini #303

You have up summed Maka's current defiencies well. I have noticed that he is susceptible to a late step from an opponent when defending and, also, he can easily be swung to the ground by defenders when trying to get on the outside. No swerve, no fend and without the necessary pace to get around...

Based on what many players have said, including Twal and KPP on NRL 360 tonight, I think that is definitely true.

TEAM LIST Round 7 vs Broncos

Absolutely. No surprises at all. I hope Luai can organise, straighten the attack and kick as well Madden. Jarome had to come in and I get, Benji didn't want to interrupt Douehi's red hot form by moving him to centre. I just hope the team can maintain the same cohesion without Jock there. We will...

    The Luai dilemma...

This what I hear and apparently it was apparent on Sunday. (I didn't watch it.) I agree, a bit of subtle playmaking could be a real boon to the often clunky Tiger attack in the red zone.

    The Luai dilemma...

He seems to be very promising although some think his defense needs to stiffen. When all the facets of his game are ready, where does he fit in the current NRL roster?

Me too but, unfortunately, I don't think it will happen.

    The Luai dilemma...

I hope you get your wish! Me too, I'd like to see Madden and Luai in the halves but if I don't, it's nothing worth crying over. I'll still be watching on Saturday and cheering madly for Douehi, Luai and the whole team!
