LIVE GAME Round 25 vs Roosters

He adds a lot of aggression and oomph out wide. We haven't had that for a long time.

    OFFICIAL Jock Madden #244

Jock in the side showed how much we need a genuine number 7. For mine, we'd be crazy not to keep him around for a few more seasons.

HBG aside - it's great to see these old school clubs still going. I spent many a Saturday night at Marconi as a kid back in the NSL days. Always thought it was a bit sad that all those foundation clubs that kept the game alive got shafted when the A League came around.

    Coach Benji 👑

Ex-CEO signs Luai on a mega contract with more holes than a slice of swiss cheese. Makes a whole bunch of excuses when it leaks. Luai has a very poor first season. One of our best juniors for a long time - who was outplaying Jarome - walks. CEO bails, Luai bails not long after. Everyone left in...

    Coach Benji 👑

Yesterday the Dragons were coming off a pretty good win against the Sharks and have been in good form. Except for a couple of bad individual misses in defence, we would have walked away with the points. The reason we lost had nothing to do with the coach. He isn't spending the week telling...

Wests Tigers to Wests Lions rebrand

If you're looking to maximise revenue and completely ignore heritage - that would be the logical move. A bit like when the Dogs left Belmore about 25 years ago.

Wests Tigers to Wests Lions rebrand

Because in this day and age, you need corporate facilities to generate revenue and stay competitive. Maybe even to survive. LO has basically zero corporates facilities and still won't have too many after the development compared to most other stadiums. We're pretty far behind the rest of the...

Wests Tigers Private Ownership is that the Answer?

Google tells me this was evidence in the Jack de Bellin case where he was fighting the automatic stand down rule? This makes perfect sense. Putting guys on the field who are subject to sexual assault charges would damage the game commercially across the board and for every club. Even if...

Where in the agreement does it say that? Do you have a copy of the agreement?

It's time to take the fight back to HBG

The Broncos can spend on things like that because they make a fortune from membership, merch and sponsorship and are close to a one city team. They're commercially so strong that they stand on their own two feet without a leagues club propping them up. While we may never be the Broncos, but...

    Rugby league history

I remember meeting ex Eel, Magpie and Rooster, Tony Cosatto down at the local shopping centre when I was a kid on a Thursday night. We'd just moved to Australia at the time and the Magpies had a table set up promoting the upcoming game. He gave me some free tickets, a team poster, went around...

Who here actually supports Western Suburbs in the KOE NSW Cup?

Yeah mate, our club has a lot of opinions! I guess at the end of the day, the joint venture agreement is for the NRL team and everything else is up for negotiation. At the risk of sounding like I'm poking the emotional wasp nest, Balmain footy club could theoretically put forward their own...

Does anyone else no longer care? What makes you continue to show up?

Would I like to see the boys doing better? Of course. But at the end of the day, it's just footy. My family has had a really rough patch over the last 18 months. The footy gives me an hour and a bit every week to take my mind off everything else that's going on in my life. Have a cheer when...

Who here actually supports Western Suburbs in the KOE NSW Cup?

For sure. But I had heard there were some issues around changerooms at LO and Campbelltown that makes holding both on the same day a headache.

Who here actually supports Western Suburbs in the KOE NSW Cup?

Seems pretty reasonable for a club with such strong heritage to have a Tiger in NRL and a Magpie in the KOE. Especially since Wests Magpies rugby league club foot most of the bill for running koe games. Having a differently branded feeder team hasn't hurt the Sharks.
