Maybe a late shuffle. Setfart to lock, Twal FR. Pole pine?

I have little doubt Api & JL will be up for today. AD just needs to control the side and get the ball wide when it’s on. Please don’t overplay.

That Knights backrower, name escapes me, is a weapon. Thought they’d be cooked when Lucas went down but couldn’t write them off now.

One of our halves chose not to play for the badge last week and the other one called it a business when told he was no longer needed next year. Benji has to shoulder some of the blame as he signed or resigned those guys. But I’ll be watching the halves much more closely than the man with the...

Api is in my top 5 Tigers of all time. I can tell in his post match press conferences he’s hurting as much as the fans. Struggling clubs need guys like Api to come in and shift the needle, which he has done. For a brief 2 month period it looked like AK and JL were going to achieve the long...

Where do our 30 points come from?

Yeah but we also need about 8-10 guys who start for the Magpies and will do a job if called upon, I think he’s that type of signing.

Definitely improves our depth. Get used to these sorts of signings this offseason I reckon.

I think it could add to the blowout scores. Good teams are able to make a statement with their defensive intensity. If you’re dodging that there’s a chance you’re conceding that you’re out of the physical battle and you make errors coming off your line, and concede again. Could easily snowball...

Don’t know them from a bar of soap but I’d tip HM to be a lot more disciplined than Suli. Yeah being 18 it’s rough to judge him really, but I’ve seen enough glimpses to think he’s a going to be a good one. His body shape will change like Stephen Crichtons did first few years.

Add to that more teams so less depth across the board. Late in season there’ll be more teams running on fumes.

Anyone who got on Gold Coast in 1988 has had a rough patch.

Outside of that trial Makasini hasn’t shown much, think he’s been pretty injured. But every now and then he gets early ball and shows a glimpse of what he can do, has been stopped right on the line a fair few times. I’m excited to see him after another pre-season.

The defining moment of Richo’s time here for me, was when he gave a group of reserves a gob full for carrying on at spoon bowl. I agree we need some more experience like that, around the coach. Seems he’s pretty stretched in his role and head coaching should be his top priority. Benji is...

Yep. He talked about building a competitive reserve grade side which I might add, has improved. But when they are your best back ups you’re still on struggle street.

We were masquerading as an NRL side with guys like Geyer, Hope & Murray. If you listen to Richo’s earlier interviews our depth was a known issue.

A team in the top 8 just lost by 70 mate. Welcome to PVL’s NRL.

100%. Pair that with injuries at FB, two 2RF, best centre, HB and form lock forward. Of course we were going to buckle.

Mate, I tipped us to miss the eight and with a soft run home, we might even climb a few spots. Our goal now should be more wins than last year and better than 13th. If that happens it’s another year under Benji where we have signs of improvement. I’d love us to go from the shithouse to the...

That’s a fair POV. Personally none of those guys came back in form, probably still buster, and the sides confidence had been crushed by that point. As I said, if we don’t find the form again, it’s a moot point, cos Benj is running out of time.
