Thats my feeling..we let him out of his 2028 contract ..2 yr tax free deal with Chiefs
BEen great for us..top 3 in 80% of games played
But by 2028 he will be cooked..plus we have 2 young blokes who shld be ready,and Bailey as back up

Api is in my top 5 Tigers of all time. I can tell in his post match press conferences he’s hurting as much as the fans. Struggling clubs need guys like Api to come in and shift the needle, which he has done. For a brief 2 month period it looked like AK and JL were going to achieve the long awaited finals return for the club. But injuries, suspension & JL’s PNG deal put that out of reach.

Api deserves us to have success in 2027, he gives his everything for the jersey and if that effort was always there from his teammates I have no doubt we’d be a more competitive outfit.

It means little, but hoping he is smiling at FT today. Thanks for staying in the fight AK, many haven’t.

He’s not a man of words, so I don’t think he really knows what to say. He’s hurting but I’d also say he’s pissed off, embarrassed and à whole lot of other things.( ie what the hell am I doing here ?)
It’s certainly a long way from Penrith but he, JL and ST are painfully aware of that.
He just plays his normal game, which stands out in our rabble.
Hope we can get him a win !

Terrible game, lost the game for the tigers with that idiotic 3rd man in shoulder charge for zero reason with the Parra player already stopped and tackled.

hope he goes to PNG with his mate. Has been terrible for 2 years now.

Gave away a penalty which led to the first try (high tackle), missed the try for the 2nd try, but I can forgive that.

But you are up 13-12, and do a shoulder charge with 5 minutes to go on the 3rd/4th tackle. Absolutely criminal and cost us the game. I would not expect this from a 1st gamer, never mind a captain, leader and guy on huge pay packet.

Absolutely needs a reality check. Great player and has it in him, but he's been far worse this year than people say. His service is slow and he's taken a lot of bad options.

Imagine if a Hunt, Afoa, Seyfarth, even Terrell May did the option he came up with 5 mins to go?

Never felt so disappointed in him. Terrible performance and the shoulder charge that cost us the game was the worst play I have ever seen from a 250 game and captain
