Luai's having another shocker

Leichhardt has a real atmosphere every time we play there. There's history in the ground there and the players feel it and lift. Campbtelltown ... not so much.

He's probably paying the sponsor

Good to see Starford back. If he's actually healthy, he will go a long way to fixing our offensive woes. Makasini out for Lualii is interesting. Probably for the best he has a week or two off. Oh wow didn't notice Latu being dropped. Not a huge fan of that. He's too talented to not be in the 19.

Where does this stuff about him being a great player come from? It's just not true. He had success playing for a Penrith 2 and 3 wide of the ruck with Yeo and Cleary organising everything in the middle. He had Crichton and To'o outside of him and Kikau on his shoulder. He's benefitted from...

I must have dreamt the past 3 weeks. We flogged two teams in the top 8 and won a tense Easter Monday games. The way some of you blokes carry on is deadset like we got thumped 3 times and Luai is god on earth coming to save us.

Yeah, I think too many people conflate his on-field with his off-field impact. Off the field he's no doubt had an enormous, positive impact. Whether it's from recruitment, to fan engagement, to helping build a positive team culture. I'm less convinced of the winning attitude, given it's become...

He's not even remotely close to being our best player. He's been awful in 2 out of 3 games. We lost to a team missing arguably their 4 best, or 4 of their best 5 players amongst others. We totally dominated field position and our "best" player was pathetic with a platform that most halves would...

He's absolutely not the least of our problems lol. We just won 3 games without him and he's getting paid 1.2m a year. He quite literally is our biggest problem, and by a significant margin.

We dominated field position and possession wise. There's really no excuse here apart from being underdone (in which case if he actually were, he shouldn't have been selfish and ruined what was working).

He probably could use a week or two off just to rest and re-group. I'm not gonna knock him for those two errors, it happens and he's been fine on that front the first few weeks. As I said earlier in the thread, he's been fine in first grade as an 18 year old, which puts him incredibly far ahead...

I noticed that immediately too with Latu at 7. It makes such a difference having someone able to spread it from first receiver, especially when they can dig into the line and do it (something both Latu and Madden excel at). Neither Luai or Doueihi do this. Both are at their best 2 wide, and...

We dominated field position and possession. They were missing Hunt, Walsh, Carrigan, their first 2 hookers and lost Haas early in the game. Not to mention Staggs playing on a dud foot and Arthars limping around before going off. I'd understand if we got dominated field position wise, but we had...

As it should. He's on 1.2m a year and has had several games since joining us where he's been totally ineffective in attack.

Our halves aren't good and our shape is bad without Madden.

Ok it's his first game back for a few weeks, but our structure and shape were way worse and he did absolutely nothing. Yes the culture blah blah, but the returns on his contract have been awful from a strictly footballing perspective.

Overlap left, why go right?

Defence has been poor but we really miss Madden in attack.

Madden will only come on if there's an injury to the halves, or backline which results in Doueihi moving to the centres.

He hasn't look out of place as an 18 year old in arguably the most physically demanding era of footy ever. We shouldn't lose sight of the fact that's still incredibly impressive. Absolutely zero reason for any concern.
