TEAM LIST Round 7 vs Broncos

Has anyone seen Jock play dummy half? Hopefully he can as this could be what we need to help Api longer term. I reckon Jock will get decent game time. Firstly as dummy half and then to halfback with Jerome at 6. Douiehi will have a roving commission with maybe Herbert going back to the bench.

    OFFICIAL Kai Pearce-Paul #304

Super impressed with KPP. Playing to his strengths and you can see how he has grown in confidence from last year. Offloading, running great lines and crunches people in defence. Well done to Benji for recognising his talent.

I have noticed this as well. He uses Wayne Bennett as a bit of a mentor, perhaps he had learnt his media gruffness from him. Because of his Fox background, he is much more accommodating with them.

Origin Selection, who has potential so far?

Twally theoretically fits the criteria with his offloads, metres gains, tackle efficiency, minutes and flexibility to play anywhere in the middle. That said, with the eligibility rule changes and general derision of Tigers players in the sky blue jersey, I would say none likely.

OFFICIAL Pathways - KOE General Discussion

Sukkar is a beast. Has really developed in the off season and it obviously has helped his strength both in defence and ball in hand

    OFFICIAL Jock Madden #244

Personally, I think he is doing exceptionally well for a guy that didn’t play NRL last year and just iced a pressure win in his second game this year. I agree he has things to work on but I would. think there is some up side here. I am looking forward to see where his ceiling is after he can...

    OFFICIAL Jock Madden #244

i think I heard AD saying in an interview that after moving around the backline, Benji gave him a position (half) and he feels settled. Not sure what happens when Luai returns but I reckon it will make for some interesting conversations. (I believe Jock to be the most natural halfback so would...

TEAM LIST Round 5 vs Parra

I think (hope) that Moses is not as much a threat at the moment. I have watched a few of Parra’s games and he doesn’t seem to want to run - in fact he seems to be reticent to be tackled. I reckon he is carrying an injury. Yes, he can still kick and pass at the line but a Moses who doesn’t run...

    OFFICIAL Latu Fainu #282

So do we all but I don’t think it’s a question of ability just consistency and resilience. He will get there. Benji had shoulder issues which kept him out for extended periods early in his career.

OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

Yep - he was bought up playing eyes up footy. Unfortunately, he doesn’t seem to posses the natural athleticism to play that way at the elite level. He is a bit of an anomaly in the sense that a lot of young halves rely on their individual brilliance but struggle with the speed of the game and...

    Your team vs Eels

Didn’t Benji have to get a dispensation for Tino to play? Not sure if that is a week to week thing or a set period of time.

I tend to agree but his trajectory is like a Temu Seyfarth!

OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

When he played for us, I always thought he was still trying to play school boy football in the way he crabbed across the field looking for lazy defenders. When that didn’t work, he became increasingly frantic and tried miracle plays. Many young halves have elite off the mark speed that sees them...

LIVE GAME Round 4 vs Warriors

It is a bit of a quandary. I agree that Latu straightens the attack and is much better link man but AD is a much greater threat with ball in hand both in the middle and on an edge.

LIVE GAME Round 4 vs Warriors

Not sure if it means anything but both Alex and AD had their futures sorted pre-season signing term deals. Maybe that has given them confidence to go and perform?
