Now they've climbed off the NRL dung heap the club probably has less need to splash the cash on a big-name star. 50 GUNS OFF CONTRACT Even if the Tigers don't land a Cleary, Walker or Mitchell, there is a stack of talent off contract next year and able to be negotiated with come November 1...

from Nine The top 50 guns off contract who Tigers can target with $2.4m spending spree after Jarome Luai exit The Wests Tigers are booming under favourite son Benji Marshall's guidance and the team is about to have a $2.4 million war chest with which to turn them into a genuine premiership...

I remember hearing the PNG Govt said they wanted players from PNG in the squad. Not sure if there is a number on it.

Benji is hard to read. doesn't give much away. Jerome leaving does releave Benji of some tough decisions with the weekly selection principles he has set.

with clauses. if the door opens to China. No more NRL.

China has been looking at this already. Very smart move using sport as diplomacy. Fiji, Tonga and Samoa have mentioned they want help with Rugby pathways and development. We already have a foreign aid budget (don’t think it includes sport). Local Rugby if part of the fabric of society and...

Hopefully it doesn’t affect one team (like Penrith or the WTs) more than the rest of the comp. Like Manly poaching John Dorahy, Les Boyd, and Ray Brown from the Magpies back in the day. One player I can’t see joining Luai in PNG is Galvin. Bulldogs are safe with him.

looks like he has signed. from SHM

Sukkar carries the ball forward strongly.

Gould has created this problem with Galvin by talking him up as the next immortal.

I heard Shane Flanagan is managed by Isaac Moses. When Flanagan got sacked the Dragon’s out of the Bulla recruiting

2025 – Round 8 Position: Bulldogs 1st (without Galvin) WTs 9th (with Galvin) 2026 – Round 8 Position: Bulldogs 11th (with Galvin) WTs 2nd (without Galvin)

It would be good to see a Tigers one of those, with and without Galvin

I wasn't a bad loser..but have been an absolute pest at work today. Sledged about 5 people (they deserve it for past behaviour). I was also very ungracious (to extended family) after the win over Parra. Anyway enjoy the ride unapologetically.
