OFFICIAL Jahream Bula #269

NRL teams Round 9: Jahream Bula joins wounded Tigers, out for 3-4 weeks | Daily Telegraph https://share.google/91dWeLNd8PnhONTp2

Nooooooooooooo!!!!
I don’t mind this and think even though it’s a pain for the next few weeks in the long run it will be to our advantage
What this means to me is that he is going to try and play throughout the year managing the shoulder, this means that he is going to need to have major shoulder surgery come September/October
All of a sudden our selling point is it’s it’s best for him to be a the tigers during the off season after surgery as he knows our systems and processes and probably can get away with not having a pre season
From a potential suitor perspective , they may not want to pay him when he we be unavailable for most of, if not all of the pre season with a new side

I think this really limits the options his scumbag manager has and will now have to consider the extension we have been trying to get over the line

Is this shoulder issue the same one he had surgery on previously? if so, I wonder if it is a recurring/structural problem.....might have implications for his contract $$ and attractiveness to other clubs.

Sukkar worries me
Get a grip brother. It's not real life for us. Unless it is for you. Is West's Tigers your life? It's okay to be honest. Just like I am always wrong.

Because in reality it doesn't worry Sukkar. This is his job. His life right now. This is how he supports his family. You think he is a bludger or just not good enough?

I think Bula is fine, but perhaps slightly disappointing compared to what his potential was when he first came into first grade. I don't think he's markedly improved at any area of the game. Underwhelming as a ball player and while he doesn't really stifle our attack around the edges, he doesn't add a great deal to it either. Obviously a great threat in broken play with his speed and while he's generally good under the high ball, there is an error or two in his game.

He's at the level of player where you can conceivably upgrade them, but at the same time, you run the risk of replacing them with someone worse if you don't re-sign them. In an ideal world you manage to re-sign them at fair market value rather than on overs, but sadly the prospect of that will become trickier going forward with the new teams coming in. If we do re-sign him, great. If not, I'd be looking to Newcastle to try and pick up one of Fletcher Hunt or Fletcher Sharpe, especially given the news of Ponga's long-term extension.
Hunt for me lucks like a great prospect

Haven’t seen him this year but last year he defended well, but metres were low!
Sukkar has regularly been one our best in Cup, on both sides of the ball. My only concern is that KPP basically locked down that right side in defence and i dont know if Sukkars best is anywhere near as good...the rest will have to pick up some slack.

I agree with your thoughts, and I generally like him as a player. Given he is so young and has a big frame, can only see him getting better with time. 1 really negative, he’s managed by pond/septic scum!!
