No doubt. I dont want Bula to leave, he is class. Just saying I wouldn’t spend 1mil plus on a fullback outside the current squad. If we do then we might be waving goodbye to the next lot of kids.

We have a lot of player coming through that are close to braking into 1st grade. As we have seen in both trials. Spending 1mill plus on a Bula replacement (even short term) wouldn’t be wise IMO. Heamasi Makasini, J.Andrew, Haywood, Attard, ect will all need upgrading soon

It’s been said for decades ‘don’t read into trial form” …. points made on the podcast. With all the different players in the whole squad (reserves, juniors, first graders) they all seem to playing to a certain style. The excitement wasn’t about winning it’s about seeing a system implementation.

Jake Averillo is a good option at centre. I think the only reason he isn’t signed is the $. We have a lot of depth in our squad. I’d prefer to lock in the cream of our squad at this stage than sign others for big $. If you got Averillo for under $400K then yes.

Once fit to play, I’d like to see how Skelton goes at right centre in State Cup. Geez he can hit in defence. Then he would be competing with Herbert for the right centre position behind Toa. I’d keep Masi on the left wing (& left centre if May was injured)
