For some perspective
Ice made 48 tackles (two missed), his attack has not been great but he hasn’t had a half decent half giving him opportunities over the last 18 months.
Tigers were well beaten on Sunday
But St George had one try from a their pass rolling along the ground and going to hand...
Our forwards do a job every week
So as close to the normal pack/reserves as possible I would think
In the backs naden in for Faataape as he isn’t doing anything (no doing much wrong just not up to it yet)
If Latu F is fit he would be my 14
I don’t think the halves dilemma is a big deal
All halves were signed before Luai agreed
Sezer is signed for this year (+ mutual option)
Latu and bud 1st grade abilities were/are unknown at this stage.
So 2025 it will likely be Luai - 7 and galvin - 6 with Latu 14
Sezer the backup in cup on...
And the halves in reserves yesterday were woeful, so that leaves who we have currently
Sullivan, Sezer, and Galvin to fight it out
Plus latu wouldn’t have played any trials/games
I like brooks, but his pass selection (rowdy must still have nightmares of running onto a brooks pass) and short kicking game were constantly very poor, and that had nothing to do with the surrounding player's. He was not an organising half or talker.
He was a runner and that’s all he will have...
Saints were by far the better team across the park, no question, but there were 2 obvious no try’s (short of the line + a knock on), that need to be considered in assessing the score line. Tigers were poor, but the poorest display again was from a ref/bunker
I don’t think we are weaker side as far as players are concerned compared to what Madge inherited and could afford, but the intent and leaders across the park is sadly missing
