I am not against giving it a shot whilst we have Madden there to help guide them and fill in as needed, and just as important, we now have a good experienced pair of edge forwards alongside to help. They will probably need an occasional stint in reserves, but that is normal.

Yeah, though Doueihi moving on as part of it would be a bonus.

For mine, he needs to show that desire by returning to WT off-season training ASAP. Sure, have a break which all WC players deserve, but he needs to make it short and then get his young arse there.

Somewhat true, but not really comparable to an almost fully developed man who debuts 2/3 months before his 22nd birthday.

So we can give Mason a top 30 contract for a few years or contemplate getting him back in 3 or 4 years if/when he is good enough. Definitely the latter for mine.

Without associating Samuela or diminishing potential organised crime elements, street or suburb gangs aren't something new. I grew up amongst various loosely affiliated ones in and surrounding the very white late 70's Ryde as early teen. As for tattoos, they were relatively rare back then...

Not "no one", rather, a few and far between group that saw Jock as our best halfback option whilst probably in agreement with many of those seeing him as meh.

Maybe, and I want Latu to stay, though as the quoted column and the @jrtiger post pertained to retention, the injury concerns around the younger brother make Samuela the key piece.

Didn't Herbert sign for top 30 next season too early this year?

Yep, Samuela was probably the key piece, but Pole is a similarly quickly improving youngster and a major piece of the WT future puzzle as they continue to mature.

If only he had picked up the bloody ball up from that scrum 😀.

Has there been any mail on the Shuster situation for 2027?

Sure, Manase is unlikely to achieve his previously expected very high playing ceiling, though his footy skills are innate and he is only 28, which is pretty well the prime of male physicality. Three or four months of further training with his brothers should have him more than ready to play at...

Heroim Slava!

Not aiming at you, but I just had a visceral reaction to your post being yet another suggesting that Doueihi would be first choice in the halves again. After a lifetime supporting both versions of the Tigers, with a single premiership from each and 14 years under HBG without even a finals...

Not endorsing it as his future role, though I thought that he looked okay when playing two spots further in as an edge forward in KOE for a good part of 2025.

Fair enough, though I don't think any of us are simply proposing that he be shifted there. Rather, if WT are able to sign another quality edge, that Samuela would be at least equally at home in the middle and provide our team with a much needed aggressive point of difference there. Having 3...

It has been mentioned on here any number of times over the years now since it was originally posted.

Somewhat similar with Tedesco also, who just won another premiership. However, as much as I like Latu and want him to succeed, unlike that pair, whose relevant injuries were basically in the same area, where his next injury will be is more like filling out a bingo card.

For a different perspective and without dismissing all of the above, my now 16yo son's union team won the comp/s with a very much predominantly white team that included many anglo girls. Seven of them approved to play in the 13's a few years back as there were no gender restrictions up to 12's...
