1/2 season gone

we've had worse periods, people have short memories

I probably overreacted last night. 2002 and 3 were pretty bad. Still, even this morning I feel there is less to be proud about than at any point since 2004.

I know you can find worse games, and statistically you could find much worse efforts than the last few weeks. However, I'm not frustrated JUST by the last few weeks. It is the cumulative effect of being a supporter of this club that has personally led me to feel this way, not the isolated case of a few bad games in any one season.

I know I'm only one win away from withdrawing my statements from this thread, but sometimes you look at a situation as glass half full and then suddenly have an epiphany that the people you've disagreed with for years ate actually right.

yeah it's difficult, I guess I'm taking comfort in that we aren't getting flogged week in week out

We really appear to be playing to a plan though, certainly in the 1st half…....what that plan is though I don't know now, the defence was too bad to identify any sort of plan. Certainly not playing what was in front of them.

On top of that we did have opportunities in the 1st half, the attack is so stilted though. Not sure why things have changed, the attack was coming along fine at the beginning of the year.

I think that this is the worse period that I can remember. We are just not playing with any sort of passion or potential for improvement. Our coach also appears completely useless.

Last night was a lot better but it was still poor.

We do though need to improve our squad. Its obvious for instance that having slow outside backs is going to do two things:-

1\. Make it easy to run around us out wide.
2\. We will have limited options in attack.

We need to get rid of Richards and add have Simona and Nofo fit and firing. Then we will have a decent backline and have a chance to go well.

I disagree about the passion, the bulk of '07, '08 and a bit of '09 we were without passion. I think the guys are just sticking to whatever plan JT has going and therein lies the problem, as I said above, we aren't playing what is in front of us and to our detriment.

There were a couple of 2nd phase plays last night, some passing going on….......which is an improvement, but we were doing that at the beginning of the year, so I don't know why that stopped.

The defence in the 1st half or lack thereof, really killed us and our kicking game is not helping at all.

We'll certainly go better with Simona and Nofo and I'm glad we have a 2nd rower who was running good lines for a change too, shame Rowdy wasn't moved to the spot 2 years ago.

Explain to him he could be a Leeds United supporter

That's kids mate , mine started playing the X Box at 12-2 and raced out when he heard me get excited

Just remind him who was out , hooker , two first choice centres

Lets keep it real and wait until both Nofoaluma and Simona have played a few games and are able to give Brooks and Moses some options outside them bar Tedesco

I normally cop a barrage of texts from my mates during Tigers games …
Last night = nothing !!!!
Even the hecklers have given up !
