**NRLWe don't want Greg Bird - Broncos**

But NRL boss David Gallop has warned that Bird's re-registration won't be automatic. The Gold Coast have also been linked to Bird, but Titans chief executive Michael Searle said the **club's salary cap was "maxed out"** and Bird would have to be willing to play for match fees.

Hmm…...the plot thickens....you would think if the TITans here serious about Bird...the may have to offload some players....

Thought players salaries where detrmined by the NRL salary Cap wise...they would be mighty big match payments for Bird.....

players only go to melb for match payments, finch/newton/ now mason( not confirmed but linked), now i reckon bird would be a good swap for dallas johnson, so if they offer him johnson wage, and then let lima head to the tigers everyone is happy.

How accurate is this guy usually?

From memory _Quarter Chicken and Chips_ announced Brian Smith to the Roosters about 2 weeks BEFORE anyone knew, Steve Folkes to the Wests Tigers 5 days before anyone heard of it and Malcolm Noad leaving the Dogs and Greenberg coming in about 2 weeks before it happened.

He doesn't make contact unless he has something.

It would freak me right out if we got Boof back . . . . . to the point where I would wear a 'I love the Fonz' t-shirt for a week if it comes off.

what plot?

I'd be stoked if boof came back, I was more dissapointed in loosing him then prince to the titans.
his go forward was exceptional.
he knows how to hit the line and stay up right to keep his legs pumping to gain a few extra metres. something most of the forward back then didn't know how to do.
and with the exception of galloways and ellis some still don't know how to do.

his wife is a campbelltown girl so maybe she wants to head back home?

The Sunday Mail reports the Cowboys have dropped out of the race for Bird. It appears he is off to the Titans.

Let's hope we can do a deal and get Laffranchi back, it would be excellent.

Laffranchi blows so many tries through hogging it. If he could learn when to let the ball go and when to hold on to it he would be a great player. Runs good lines and in my opinion can handle front row just as well as the backrow. I'd be happy to have him back but i hope he isnt about to go through a "Trent Waterhouse" stage. Waterhouse hit the big time then went through a few years of poor form, and i think its fair to say Laffranchi's form dropped off in 09\. However, i'd tip he'd excel with another change and running off Benji.

But up until what was a quite 09, he had been brilliant for 5 years prior.

I wouldnt say brilliant, but yes, he had a good stretch of form and its more than likely he would recapture that form again. But for some strange reason that i cant explain, i just have a feeling he may not.

I spoke to my gig today at WT who did not expand on anything about the Laffranchi situation. This is the same person who swears blind _Lotto_ has not signed as well.

therefore, by interpreting your reverse phycology, I take it that we've signed Laffrachi

No, that was one of our 1st grade coachs'.

do we really need another 2nd rower?…I think not

I don't know I kind of like the idea of -

13\. Heighnington
12\. Ellis
11\. Laffranchi
10\. Galloway
9\. Farah
8\. Cayless

It would be a great pickup no doubt and would make a fine back row possible.

However I think it loads alot of our cap space in the backrow which would be a error at this stage of the game.
