Can’t wait to this season is done and dusted. Really very little positives came out of this season. Of course big Stef and Laurie were the exception. Although we were very average in most areas, I think the NRL in general was very underwhelming and that effected my enthusiasm for the game and probably made me more negative towards our efforts.

Anyway another year of coming up empty, to be honest, I did not expect any thing different. Sad really, and without at least two quality signings next year will be the same

The problem is that at the moment 2022 looks like it could be just as bad if not worse ......

I pray I'm wrong ...but we are going to need to grab some lightning in a bottle recruitment wise in the next 5 months

In regards to making the 8, I don’t think you’re wrong on paper at the present. If we have a reserve grade next season I’m hoping it will help our development and depth.

At least every one of those bad Cleary contracts now off our books? That makes me feel a little more positive for the future. (I can only think of one long contract that I disagree with which is not Cleary’s doing)

Ols Mother Hubbards cupboards look extremely bare ....we are going to have to rely on an out of favour player wanting out of their club ......and usually they are out of favour for a reason .....

I’ve got a mate who follows the dogs and he was scoffing at us talking to Pearce (at the right money and length I’m not too fussed for the experience and game management).

I usually don’t get tied up in the banter too much but I was like your club can talk…I hope we steam roll them this week with our barebones side!

I think it's worth remembering that if we stayed strong in a few games this year, then we probably wouldn't be talking about this?

BUT, we didn't stay in the game and maybe that is an issue that should be addressed, I would like a couple of (better than average) players, so do we really need to address the mental side of the game? e.g. we never play well in important/tribute games. Do we need a footy whisperer?

We need more leaders…too many are waiting for someone else to win it for them. For me, Tamou showed that it’s easy to lead if your team is stacked.

Douehi and stef are in the few, Noffa can be? in his 40mins here and there. Even Laurie needs some development here. Blore probably will be. Etc

Management pulled a few rabbits recruitment wise last off season, so I’m hoping there will be another couple this one!

Agree, an on field leader would be great, hoping Hastings will cover that role?

And if they want out of their current club the risk is they have a questionable character, ala Matterson

Him and Moses would have been handy to still have - they both play in positions where we have needs. The fact that they are both at the scum we call Parra, makes hating that side even easier. Part of me thinks that Packer smashing Matterson almost makes up for his years of sitting on the sidelines....

The players should be looking on the bright side.

maybe being based in Qld for the last month means they will be able to have an end of season holiday in a number of states.

Just wait when the border opens. I hope you are vaccinated…

Hohum - jealousy is a curse. Hope you're enjoying another day in lockdown like I am.

Ouch - sorry to hear that. We don' hve one case in the area I live and we still have to lockdown because of lovely people who won't do the right thing.
Would much rather be in QLD position than NSW.

one week closer to ashes starting.

Wonder how Boxing day will go this year with crowds / no crowds.
