2 centres I would like !

Josh Hoffman just given permission to leave the Broncos. Has played every position in the backline. I think his first preference would be to find a fullback position somewhere and could see the Titans being interested, but I wonder if he'd consider coming here to play centre?

I like Goodwin. Tough centre that doesnt let many get buy him and works really hard. Not the most dynamic attacking centre more like a tough tackling centre. I dont see him leaving Souths though.

Kicks too. We need to start thinking about this when Richards retires. I know moses kicks but is he good enough to be first string?

he obviously wont offer the same in field goals, drop outs and kick offs. But i think he can be our 1st string goal kicker. Still needs a bit of work obviously, but he's solid. Better than benji at least

We have heaps off contract for 2016\. Blair, Taupau, Richards, galloway ( I think), Austin, Simona and probably others like Santi, Lovett etc.

If we get it right off field in 2015, then 2016 could be a real successful year.

Galloway and Taupau both come off contract at the end of 2016.

Naiqama will do for another back as we already have Simona and Fine who are ok, then throw in Naiqama and Takarangi with Lulia and Seve as further backups. Decent combination of youth and experience.

No to Goodwin for me. In fact for centres, I'd work with those in the mix already and keep any cash for a good+ back rower when available…

Me thinks some have hijacked my tread, what i was looking at was young players who had not made 1ST grade and there fore would be cheap and who where playing at clubs where they may not get a look in for a few years. so the two players i picked fit the bill is there any others people can shead light on .

Shane Richardson just said in an interview on FOX,that not only do souths have 2 young gun centres,"they have the 3 best young centres in the country in the lower grades coming through".
So who are these players,as surely 5 in to 2 spots in the NRL side won't work,we may be able to get a bargain priced centre who wants a chance at top grade footy.

so did every one watch the 20s grand final young Kata scored 3 meat pies and looked pretty good, he still has a long way to go but he will be a NRL player sooner rather than later.

All our focus must be on very hard players who can tackle, with the likes of Brooks,Moses and Austen the attack will look after itself, but they need forwards who will lay a platform through brutal defense and hard direct play, and of course the ability to play with intensity week in and week out.

Sounds very simple!!! but it seems nearly impossible for our club to achieve this style of football, except on the odd occasion

i dont want us to waste time and money in developing a centre. i'd be willing to buy a fill in centre for a couple of years and spend time and money on other centres coming through the grades.

we have three years to become a force. after 2017, moses, brooks, tedesco and farah (i think) will all be off contract. apart from farah, we need to convince the other three to stay and the only way to do that is be top 4 at least the last 2 years.
