You've only got to look at the centres and wingers to see that 2010 is WAAAAAAY in front, and that's not even taking into account Ellis over Ben Galea … :deadhorse:

ive just bolded who i think is better (and this is at the current time so 2005 payten etc)

2005 marshall was better basically because he had prince doing the playmaking, albeit he's in a different roll now.. he was really just "uninhibited" back then!
i really liked payten back then, and galloways performances have just been tremendous so he just pips skando.

I'm surprised you picked Ayshford over Fats - in 2005 Fats was still going strong - good in attack, excellent in defence

I can't look past 1\. Hodgson, 6\. Marshall, 7\. Prince, 9\. Farah and think that 2010 is in front… (Besides I think the 3/4 line is a wash. I'd take Tuiaki and Lawrence over Elford and Fitzhenry, but I'd take Richards and Whatuira over Ayshford and Ryan. Those two scored almost 40 tries and had stacks on linebreaks that year.)

Fullback - 2005
Centres, wing - draw
Halves - 2005
Forwards - 2010

In top form it would be one hell of a match. I just feel that Prince would make the difference, so I'll go with 2005.

I wasnt picking it prime for prime, i was imagining having it for next year, thats why Skando missed out also.

Fair enough

2005 by daylight.

Its not just about the team on paper. Its about combinations. In 05 Prince and Farah had incredible combinations with the likes of Whatuira and Hodgson. We have no combinations at all these days. Hell even Elford, who was a bit criticised, had an incredible combination with Pat Richards. Take alot these days with kicking, Anytime we put a kick into the ingoal there is noone chasing. Two years ago Hodgson and Whatuira and Marshall were off the kickers shoulder everytime. As well as that Marshall was a much better player with less pressure on him.
