we just won the comp and when we were going home on the bus, this old lady was going on about it..

Went to the game (and all the other semi finals) and was actually sitting in the Cowboys supporter area. My brother was living in Qld at the time so unlike the mad scramble for tickets in NSW, he was able to stroll into whatever passes for Ticketek up there and snap up 4 tickets right at 9am with no queue.

After the game stopped off at McDonalds on Parra Road before heading for the Leagues club. Had to park in Balmain Road and walk past the non-leagues club members waiting to get in. Luckily I was living in Leichhardt at the time and still a member so walked straight in, had a few coffees waiting for the team to arrive, went up stairs in the early hours where a very tanked Benny Elias was warming up the crowd and waited for the boys to show. Got home about 5am I think! Got up the next day and walked down to Leichhardt Oval.

Magic weekend. They had to close Victoria Rd because it was packed with fans.
