Fans have until December 23 to be a selector in the first stage of voting at **http://www.nrl.com/allstars** for one of the greatest coaches in rugby league history. As in previous years, they must choose two forwards and two backs from each club to form a shortlist for Bennett to then refine his team for stage two of the voting.

**Who did you Vote for and Why???**

**Who did you Vote for and Why???**

Ellis and Blair because they are the best 2nd row combo in the comp and I cant wait till March to see either of them in action.

Lote and Lawrence because they are the popular Tigers that I am proud to represent me.

Why would anyone want our senior rep players having to play even more footy….pick a cpl of youngsters, any two'll do...its a mickey mouse game.
They can represent the club I support.

That's right Ink, rest the rep player and give some of our up and coming stars a taste of rep footy. The last thing we would want is for Ellis to aggrevate his back leading into the season. Let them all have a rest, it's just not worth the risk.

Players who deserve selection:
1\. Robbie Farah
2\. Chris Lawrence
3\. Gareth Ellis
and a bolter:
4\. Blake Ayshford

Aaron Woods and Mosese Fotuaika for forwards

Mitch Brown and Blake Ayshford for the backs.

Im taking Insaneink path on this - Would love to see and "underdog" (so to speak) make the side - kinda like how Liam Fulton got in last year, and held his own admirably.

It might be a "mickey mouse" game in terms of the representative season, but I assure you the Indigenous & All-Star fellas probably take it very seriously. If the Indigenous side want to field the best side they can, the All-Stars should field the best possible side also.

I went for Ellis and Woodsy at the front and Ayshford & Lawrence at the back.

I've already alluded to this in another thread, but did anyone else struggle to pick two worthy backs from Souths?

Blair and Sauce in the forwards and Rowdy and Blake in the backs.

Ellis is the pick of thje tigers for coach bennet.

That's the answer he gave when I asked him that Q.

Woods and Ayshford - both played great in 2011 and deserve to play against some of the best our game has to offer.

Blair - any game that gives him and Marshall a chance to work more in their combination is fine by me.

Lawrence - unlucky to have not been in the side before and can enhance his combo with Benji as they had little time to do so in 2011 due to Lawrence's injuries.

Farah - figured if he has a good game there could be early calls for him to be in origin (doubtful i know but im still holding out hope)
Blair - just want to see our star recruit in action!
lawrence - similar to robbie, a good game will put him in good stead for origin (though im almost certain he'll be there anyway)
moltzen - all the off season hysterica may have rattled him so id like to see him start the year on a positive note.

"I love the All Stars concept and I know my friends and family will be excited about coming to the game."

Thurston topped the voting with 11,282 votes from the 15,000 who picked their side, followed by Broncos winger Jharal Yow Yeh (7568), Greg Inglis (7530), new Brisbane Broncos captain Sam Thaiday (7331) and Gold Coast Titans lock Greg Bird (7105).

"I am really happy with the quality of the team the public has selected and with the names announced today we are in the very best position to win the Arthur Beetson trophy come February 4," coach Laurie Daley said.

"I know all Indigenous Rugby League players look up to Artie for what he did for Rugby League and for Indigenous Australians and with the trophy representing a true legend of the game, we will have extra incentive to win the All Stars match.

"The NRL All Stars team will be a world-class side, but all the players announced today will be playing to win and also to honour the passing of a Rugby League legend."

James Graham has more colour than he does!!

I swear, If Greg Bird was any whiter, he'd be purple... I understand that it isn't necessarily the colour of your skin which dictates, however he must be about 1/32th Koori at best...
