2012 - Trial Dates

I am officially over our loss and I loved the ups and downs of 2011.

A solid season that has set some high expectations for 2012, I cant wait and as such I need some help from you folk.

Does anyone know any dates for either trials or round 1?

I hope they give some consideration to moving the Foundation Cup game away from the SFS next year. I know its a home ground to the Roosters and Tigers, but this year it didn't really draw a big crowd. They would get plenty more at Campbelltown or LO.

Wasn't it reported on the backpage a little while back that we'd be playing one of the ESL clubs in a pre-season trial? Wigan or St Helens or Bradfield. I didn't imagine that did I?

You'd think it'd be a deal done between sheens and roycey or maybe as part of the release for Gentle to go to Hull?

Given we play only four games at Leichhardt and Campbelltown I reckon we should try and play at least one trial at one of our original homes.

Parra looked hot…we looked average....tells you trial form aint all it seems.

Foundation cup will be at SFS, its becoming an anual thing for the corparates

I was there as well. I remember thinking individually we played ok but could tell they were still working on things as a team..

But even more than that was how bloody hot it was!!!

It was hot! From memory we scored early but then were down something like 28-6 at halftime.

Remember thinking it looked like a real trial run for us, while parra seemed to be all about winning. I can confirm it was hot :slight_smile:

yes im hoping we have trial at campbelltown and a trial at leichhardt since we only have 4 games at those grounds per year. maybe eels at campbelltown and souths at leichhardt. then we can have our foundation cup match against roosters at the sfs again. 3 trials is enough

Don't forget Alien, they'll also have their trials against the nothing local club teams at the very start of the trials.

Also heard we may be playing against a club from the ESL.

Yep. A mate if mine was giving it to me on Facebook after that trial. I bet him $50 the Tigers would finish higher than the Eels.

Needless to say after Round 26 he was offering double or nothing next year.
