2013 Dally M's

Still scratching my head as to how Cronk got 2 points for the last game against GC.
I was at the game and thought he stunk the place up. If he had a decent game, or a game worth second best player on the field, Melbourne would have won in a canter. Probably got the 2 points for the winning field goal (on the 5th attempt mind you).
Nice to have an award but it is voted on by sports journalists (the biggest star f…ers in existence) and ex-players who also have serious confirmation bias. I'm glad I only caight the end.

Firstly not channel 9, but Foxsports. Secondly, who cares what Jessica Mauboy is up to? Much rather see highlights footage.

Horrible entertainment, useless interviews with swimmers on their career, Robbie not even nominated for Hooker of the year over Ennis, Crowe, Burgess', Not a single NSW player nominated for rep player (GI wasn't that great in Origin, Cronk was average). I still find it funny how Cronk had a mixed bag of performances but won. Really was a tight race cos no one really stood out that much this year. Carney nearly won and he missed last two rounds.

I worked tonight , which Tiger received the most votes ??

I wouldn't be surprised if it was Brooks

Didn't watch it TBH, on account of it being rubbish.

IMO this award is more for the players than the public. I know a few friends who went to the awards and found it good.

Awards are a joke.

First of all, since when do points decide positional awards? They never did in the past.

Parker should have been rep player of the year, he was incredible.
Jake Friend or Isaac Luke should have been Hooker of the year.
Sonny Bill Williams was without a doubt the best Second Rower this year.

And I can't believe they just dumped some awards on certain players' tables. I was hoping to hear some of their thoughts, especially from Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, who won the award in only his second year of first grade.

I don't know why because I usually never watch these things. But I did tune in for about 25 min and…...it was absolute crap.

More than anything, the interviews with players and wives/girlfriends showed just how awkward and superficial the whole NRL superstar thing is.

Good on Cooper Cronk for winning the thing and turning up without a partner (from what I saw on TV anyway). It only fuels those rumours about his sexuality but good on him for not trying to score the trophy chick just for the glamour. I would marry him in an instant...except current laws prevent such things.....lol.
