Miller is a star of the future. He just needs to check the ego a little.

Almost every NRL club would kill for a player of his talent.

He gets my vote for sure with young Sirro at 13

Agree. Anasta to second row then? Beauty.

1\. Tedesco
6\. Benji
7\. Miller
9\. Robbie
12\. Anasta
13\. Sirro
17\. Moltzen

Looks good to me.

200% agree with you mate !!!!

I don't know about having Anasta and Sirro in the pack. Potentially similar style forwards. Assuming Blair is the other 2nd-rower, that is not a real hard working back-row. Maybe Sirro could come off the bench and play the last 20mins or so, Fulton to start? Don't know.

Anyway, on-topic, Miller for half-back for sure.

What about BMM?

haha wow what a blow out in the polls!

whilst part of our issue was the inconsistency in the halves this year, its because there were like 8 or 9 different combinations. if you rotate moltzen and miller, you have just 2 combinations.

don't get me wrong, i agree the same spine all season is ideal, im just not sold on miller being mentally up to it for a full nrl season just yet..

Id give miller 3 games in a row at the start of the year, see how he goes week in week out playing and training with the squad rather then a last minute inclusion. If need be drop him back to nsw cup to work on whatever issues he may have.

This should have been done in 2012.

I would love to see Miller get first crack @ half, if he struggles then we can bring in Moltzen, Also a lot depends how Teddy goes @ fullback.

part of my decision to rotate miller and moltz is to take away the fullback option. treat him as a half and half only… if we need a fullback due to injury or underperformance, bring in another fullback/winger..

One of the things I'm looking forward to in 2013 is seeing what the new coach does with Moltzen - that will be fascinating!!!

On what he showe last year Moltzen needs to find his lost confidence. Coming into the game from the reserve bench would be ideal for him and the team.

i for one do not want to see moltzen any where near the 7 jumper and for that matter wearing any jumper 1-17 he should have been showen the door before others.as for miller the jury is still out. :bash :roll

Miller is and has been a number 7 and he confirmed that with his performances this year. He plays way beyond his age, has a good kicking game, can kick goals and is not afraid to take a tackle. I don't see any of these qualities in Moltzen, he is not first grade standard.

miller at 7 pushes anasta to the backrow

that means a backrow of blair, anasta and fulton… NO go forward.

apart from a controlling halfback , it was our backrow and bench's inability to create some go forward. everything starts in the miiddle with the forwards..

im inclining towards anasta at half for that reason only. everything else points towards milller though

but if miller is ideally the #1 halfback choice, why would we put Anasta there? It seems like a sheens type of move. You just start Blair, Fulton or Anasta from bench and put in someone like pettybourne or bmm in. I personally think Fulton is most effective coming on around 25-30 min mark when teams start to tire, and play him the remainder of the game.

With a superstar 6 All we need is someone to get quality ball between Robbie and Benj…
Anyone who thinks Anasta is not capable of this is joking....
I'm also perplexed as to why everone think Siro is a lock in waiting... He doesn't play there in his own age group,
How the hell would he handle it in the NRL... YOU"RE JOKING!!
At Halfback we need:
Someone who can pass: Anasta
Someone who can kick: Anasta
Someone who can tackle: Anasta
Someone who can control a team: Anasta
Someone who can take charge of a game: Anasta
Anasta should be our 7 this year, Milky still has a year to run... Maybe put him in Ressies for a bit and bring him on at the end of the year.... He isn't big enough for an NRL career yet I don't believe. Outside of Anasta our next best option ATM is Nathan Waters. If and When Jacob is ready his form will command selection... Standing out in the 20's is nothing compared to the lack of time and heavy traffic he will face every week in the NRL!!

can't argue with ur Anasta argument it makes sense. maybe sheens was starting to see the light after all.

I want benji back at 6\. Our 7 does not need to be too flash, just be able to put a good kick in, pass a good ball and know when to run at the line, also needs to be able to defend a bit. Sounds easy? Where the hell are they?

The sheer size of him is what makes people think he is destined for the backrow. The roles of 5/8th and lock can be similar in a lot of ways depending on how a coach plays the side. Its not as daft as you make it sound.

I'd be giving Miller first shot & sticking with him for at least six weeks to see if he's up to it week in week out. If he's not the solution, it should be one of the first thing's the new coach does after extending Farah's contract is to sign a halfback for 14.
