If you believe it is not worthwhile then why does WT embrace heritage rounds? Do you think WT should not celebrate the Balmain 69 GF or Not celebrate the 50th anniv of the famous 63 GF?

For a vocal, active and multiple forum member you certainly have mixed views on such matters…

WT can celebrate the 3 histories it has just like all other clubs do.

I'd say you think my views are mixed, because its bloody clear you assume a lot

Im merely saying we should beging to focus and grow our own history, that doesnt mean forgetting anything else

Christ how often do we have to remembers 63, 69 etc etc….it just dilutes it

i look forward to this years heritage designs for WT - We have a unique history and we should always embrace it

Maybe in another 6/7 or 11/12 years for our 20th or 25th anniversary/season, but you would be more likely to see the 2005 designs before that one (2015 for the 10th anniversary of the Grand Final win).

Well said Ink. Its like our history finished in 99\. The sooner the club starts to embrace the wests tigers history the better. FFS we won a comp in 2005 but some want to only remember grand finals in the 60's!! Even the ones we lost!! I cant think of another team that celebrates a losing g/f except for us!!

So we have to celebrate ourselves and our GF win each & every decade…...yet we celebrate our parents every single year??

Seems arse up to me.....if we want new members and new supporters...WESTS TIGERS should be the focus, not something new members probably wont care about

Ink. Occasionally you come out with some stuff that really irks me, but I know you are well researched and thought out and I respect your opposing opinion.
, but,

This time you are 100% right!

You said earlier that 'we are big boys now' and that is so true. We now have our own heritage, a grand final win, good years, bad years, plenty of history. I love balmain, and I have grown to love the magpies, but I think it alienates some people when we wear one or the other exclusive playing strip.

Lets celebrate the history of the two clubs in other ways, parades at games etc.

But Wests Tigers is a new entity and that's who we are. Let's celebrate who we are!
