2016 inexperience

Hey guys first post, with the club offloading or trying to offload Galloway Farah Lawrence Richards and I doubt they will resign halatau, who will lead the side?

I think most would agree it will be woods, but with no experienced recruitment for next year do we have hope at all in making the 8

And if Cherington is first choice number 9 that's got to be the most inexperienced spine and with woods being the most experienced player in the team on just over 100 games

Just wanted to hear everyone's thoughts on next years squads lack of experience

Well we've done extraordinarily well this year with a heap of experience, haven't we?

I don't think experience matters much if anything at all. We need quality players. Smart halves, quick outside backs and forwards that are beasts.

I hope we keep Halatau and Lawrence though. Not because of their experience but because they have been playing quality footy.

Galloway gives 12 points away last week, Farahs dumb kicks and passes….the team has looked good when the inexperienced guys have the ball...so I suppose the team will have to run with limited experience but my view of late is expieriance does not always gel into victories.

Great thread. It's a massive issue for next season.
Richards & Galloway gone. Lawrence reportedly being shoped around with Farah being pushed out. Halatau I believe is staying. No experienced players coming in.

Let's say Halatau and Lawrence stay and Farah goes or at least isn't picked. They'll be the only two when origin comes around with over 100 first grade games experience. That is a centre turned second-rower and a lock utility. Woods has just made it to 100 games. I think after them, there would be a bunch of boys no more then 70 including Tedesco, Ava (if we sign him up), Sue, Sironen and Taupau.

That's a huge issue. On field leadership will be non-existent. You can't just throw a jersey flegg aged team with a couple of older boys and expect we'll climb the ladder. Teams will know to bash us and we won't remain composed in the tough times.
Farah has experienced it all before and it's no coincidence our very lean times came after he broke his hand. His guidance and canny know-how is vital to a developing team.

i think they have to make one big signing this year.. someone like petro for penrith 5 years ago

no idea who that could be.. maybe someone from superleague

i think we're screwed if we don't bring someone like that.

I agree we have lost a lot of games without Robbie, but mania didn't start many (any?) of them as the number 9\. I'm not saying he is the saviour, I'm saying we don't really know how he will go with 60+ minutes in the nrl.
