2021 Roll Call

Nice to see a couple other folk have passed through the Blue Mountains.

I was born in Penrith. Always lived in various parts of the Blue Mountains courtesy of the parents.

PS - I am still young so don’t hate on me for living with the rents haha

You got the job you wanted, well done !!!

My parents had a small corner shop in Glebe in the late 50s where i was born a Tigers supporter following my Dad. We moved further east to Maroubra and then Rose Bay (but I always disliked the Rorters). Remember watching the 1969 GF with Dad, and then many following Finals hoping to see them win again. Dad passed in April 2005 and didn’t get to see them win again- but I was there and cheered for us both!!
Still live in Sydney’s east (and still dislike the Rorters), now it’s me and my son still hoping to see them win again.

Born in Illawong before the development of the area; parents moved to Padstow Heights because they didn't want to bring us up 'in the country'.
Lived there 18 years then short stints in Newbridge and Manildra (railways work) before
Wollongong 5 years (split over 3 different times)
Tokyo 6 years (in between times in Wollongong)
Now been in Brisbane for 23 years but moving to Nambucca Heads in a few weeks

Originally from Auburn. Travelled and lived in different parts of Australia - moved to Lake Cathie just south of Port Macquarie 20 years ago when it was a small beachside village. Has become the retirement capital of NSW for the baby boomers with over 55yr olds resorts springing up everywhere around here.

Born in Illawong before the development of the area;

Should See it now, Illawong and Alfords point r nice

I can see why people would like to live there but it was great when it was bush too. Had many a mispent day in my teen years doing the Waterboard track, the waterhole below the reactor, down to the old ferry ramp (used to cross it every day to go to kindie and still have child's memories). Although I never really knew him, Stephen Gall used to live across the road from us. My old man took one of my motorbikes there to get them to look at it when it had a problem. Met him years later at a Conondale Dirt Classic weekend.

Also, used to love the drive to Cronulla down through Woronora bends - shame they're essentially gone now.

When they first built Alfords Point bridge across the Georgres River but before it opened, we would do 'broadies' on our pushbikes on the sand covering the tar. a couple of years later, we worked out how to get inside the bridge and had some great fireworks fights with roman candles/ ball shooters (reminded us of Star Wars inside).
