Standouts for me...Laurie, Tuki Simpkins has been the biggest surprise, he's got a great motor on him and very busy in attack and defence. Stefano looks the goods, Talau has looked good, Seyfarth has some silly penalties in him but has gone ok otherwise. Tuilagi on the right edge has been ok and both Simpkin and Liddle look sharp - Simpkin needs to show a bit more patience though, which I'm sure will come through experience.

Do you think we will lose some of Laurie's play-making skills at fb? He is looking good out there at 6

The Fitzgibbon kiddie looks like Josh Addo-Carr.
Unfortunately he plays like Nick Bradley-Qalilawa.

That would have been noted by Madge.
Verdict at half Time. (Although a Trial)
ill disciplined, Not enough attacking spark one good run wide an Chee Kam puts down the ball.
Positives Laurie, Stefo, Seyfarth, Simpkins.
Verdict out on Madden with that nothing pass.

I reckon , getting him wider will be a godsend . He looks like a class above madden . Do we have someone in the squad to play 6 this second half ? I’d like to see Laurie at the back .

Fair summary. Have not heard of many of those roosters and they have looked very comfortable against us.

Talau played 5/8 majority of his juniors im sure he could fil in

I'd also be pretty keen to see Laurie play FB this 2nd half

For me best have been Stef, Tuki, Tuilagi. Laurie looks good running the ball but IMO his passing has seemed clunky. Doesnt look a 5/8 to me.

True but he's got a stack of upside. Clearly he won't be playing NRL soon but he will one day if he wants it.
